2006 Toyota Corolla - I love it!
I love my vehicle. It's compact and gets great gas mileage, which means it is very affordable for a poor college student. It has almost 200,000 miles on it and is still running great! I do regular maintenance on it, which I think has helped, but overall, the Toyota Corolla is a very sturdy car that doesn't require a lot of expensive repairs as long as you take good care of it.
Story
I went camping with some friends. It ended up raining and our tent flooded, so we had to sleep in my car!
Pros
I love that it's such a workhorse. It has been running for 13 years with almost 200,000 miles and has had no major issues. The air conditioner and heater work amazing. It gets great gas mileage. I love that it was such an inexpensive car and that it has a manual transmission. It's also compact, which is really useful since I have to parallel park frequently. I bought it used, which is part of why I got such a great deal, but I love my car!
Cons
As far as cars go, it is fairly unnoticeable. Many other people have the same car so it can be easy to go to the wrong one in big parking lots. You also won't feel super cool and popular because you own a Toyota Corolla. It definitely lacks a sporty look. I also dislike that the rear view mirrors have to be adjusted manually. It would be really nice if I could just push a button and they'd move for me!
2015 Toyota Corolla - Corolla hater turned lover
This car was a purchase out of the need to get into a new car... One with power windows, and locks and that ran. I had an older Corolla that had gotten me through high school and beyond into my early college days, but this one had been put through the ringer. It had been taken across the country, up mountain roads so in all honesty, I guess it had served its purpose, but I was fed up with it. The car was getting feisty. It wouldn't start frequently, interior was bad so I needed a new car.
I went to the Toyota dealership in hope of getting a new(er) car for a reasonable payment. But I didn't think they would actually sell me into a NEW car. The smell was perfect, the interior was lovely and guess what... This car also had power everything! So I was sold. It has been almost a year in th... (more)
Story
I am one for pushing the boundaries of how my cars perform, so I tried taking in in the snow for a little drifting and have never done so in a car that has ABS. When I first tried to pull the E-brake to go through a corner, the cars ABS came on and redirected my drift. I have never been so disappointed that my car was so safe and efficient, but I learned to love it and truly use it. That and I... (more)
Pros
Pros: MPG, Interior, Ride, Performance, Engine sound, Cabin space, rear seat leg room, color selection, and many different trim options of the sport model, paddle shifts and the ability to turn off my traction control fully, and the list goes on and on.
Cons
Cons: Only one door with a key hole, not even the trunk has a key hole, Expensive batteries for the keys, and the payment.
