2009 Toyota Corolla - Toyota Corolla: best first car purchase decision
Overall, I would purchase this car again. It has been extremely dependable. I haven't had many repair issues out of the car. The styling of the car has been pretty timeless, which has lessened my desire to purchase another car. The interior is extremely sporty, and the fabric used has held up to the wear & tear of everyday use and UV exposure. The ride could be a lot quieter; something I would like and expect from my next car. Obviously some features are a little outdated, like the CD player, and not having Bluetooth or a USB port, but that's forgivable given the age of the car. Had more get up and go than most 4 cylinders I have rode in.
Story
I remember one time I got into someone else's car that looked exactly like mine. The crazy part was my key opened their car door, which shouldn't happen. The ladies face when she came outside and saw a stranger trying to start her car was priceless. Once I calmly explained that I wasn't trying to steal her car but thought it was mine, we had a good laugh.
Pros
The car is extremely dependable. Besides minor/wear & tear repairs, haven't had any problems with the car. The seat material (sport) is amazing. It has resisted fading due to constant exposure to sunlight, and it has also held up to spills, stains, and general wear and tear. The styling of the car is still relevant. Many people believe my car is newer than it is because the sporty styling has kept it trendy. Which I love. The paint job has held up very well over these last 9 years of having the car. The interior is fairly spacious, and I can fit a lot of people comfortably in the car.
Cons
The ride is not quiet. Even from the beginning, road noise could be heard over the music. The music system was stock. I wish I would have upgraded it because the speakers sound tinny, and under-powered. The windows were not tinted, however this is a personal choice. When the back window defroster is turned on, the radio immediately sounds like static and white noise. The aerodynamics of the car could be better. When you roll down the windows, the decibel noise of the wind is unbearable.
2006 Toyota Corolla - A functional and long-living vehicle.
The Toyota Corolla is one of the most reliable vehicles on the road. It never left me broken down anywhere, and it still feel like it's a quality car after 80,000 miles on it. However, it certainly is not exciting, but I guess I does make you look humble.
Story
I took the vehicle to Moab, Utah, and nearly drove off a cliff. However, we didn't and the vehicle came out of the experience without a problem.
Pros
The build quality and reliability are probably the top two things on this vehicle. It seems like you could drive this vehicle forever is you really wanted to. As far as features, I like the fake wood trim, but it's really just a basic vehicle.
Cons
The performance of the vehicle would best be described as adequate. You certainly won't be winning any races in this vehicle. Also, I had some difficulty with the steering being a little squeaky towards the end of having the car.
