1999 Toyota Camry - Great, long lasting vehicle.
The 1999 Toyota Camry is a beast of a vehicle - it can't be stopped. This vehicle was originally driven in the rural Midwest, through harsh northern winters, daily drove over gravel roads around a farming community, and gathered up highway miles driving about 45 miles one-way to the nearest decent sized shopping town. The build quality has been phenomenal - only today, 20 years later, has a little bit of rust even started to appear around the bottom door sill on the passenger side, and not noticeable elsewhere. The car is comfortable, with cloth seats but a tape player & CD player, which were much more useful than they are today. The driver seat is adjustable and fits me at 6'1"" and also my girlfriend at 5'2"". The trunk has been large enough to fit most of my stuff as I've moved from... (more)
Story
Definitely the most fun I've had in this vehicle was driving from up north in the United States and a snowy winter into Phoenix, Arizona in January. I slept in the car - surprisingly comfortable and roomy - and took in all sorts of amazing scenery. Definitely worthwhile to drive.
Pros
This car has a sun roof and feels light and airy inside - the tan colored cloth, with the sunroof and the large windows really helps provide a sense of space. The engine has a nice quiet rumble, it just seems like it's going to go and go. The backseat has happily carried both a cat and a dog at the same time - so you know it'll work well with kids.
Cons
There are a few negatives to this car as-is. For all of you who like to listen to music in this car, there's no audio-in port, so there really isn't a way to listen to your smartphone with the stock audio system. In the trunk, there are a surprising number of engineered openings to the outside - this lets a lot of dirt and gravel and dust into the trunk contents. Lastly, the mileage isn't nearly as great as I was led to believe. For a Toyota Camry, this car maxes out at like 22 mpg, which is disappointing.
2004 Toyota Camry - I am Toyota loyal.
My Camry has cleared 100,000 miles and is going strong. I am a mother so I prefer 4-door vehicles so the kids can get in and out easily, but I do not like climbing up into a vehicle. I prefer functionality over luxury, and this car meets all my needs. The price was affordable and with kids I didn't have a ton of cash laying around for my needs. I also required something that was mechanically sound. The kids have plenty of leg room, which a bonus, because I have leggy boys! Trunk space is sufficient to hold all the football gear with no problems.
Story
I took my Camry camping, and put a tent, 2 tables, coolers, clothes, and everything else I needed for the weekend in the trunk. Then I diligently applied the bike rack, put the bikes on, and it was only then that I realized I had forgotten to put in my dog's leash, food, toys, etc.!!!
Thank Heaven I was able to open the trunk from the interior and poke those items in around what was already pa... (more)
Pros
I wanted another Camry when I was in the market to buy. I like the quality, the mileage, the seat design. The trunk space is ample for all my camping gear, plus a cooler! I put a bike rack on when that's done and we're good to go for a weekend in the wild. It has great acceleration for a V-6. I like that the back seats fold down and allow things to be placed in and out of the trunk. I have brought building materials (2x4's) and furniture home using this feature! I use the stereo all the time; often times I link up my iPhone to it and listen to my own playlist.
Cons
The dashboard vibrates and makes a noise. The passenger doors always seem to be locked even after I have "unlocked" them with the key fob. The check engine light comes on randomly sometimes, but after several starts it almost always clears without requiring intervention. I was surprised when I realized it didn't have anti-lock brakes, though. Winter driving is tricky sometimes.

2011 Toyota Camry - Fury Motors South Saint Paul
The financial agent I dealt with seemed to genuinely work hard to get me an affordable lease and got me a great discount on the listed price.
2012 Toyota Prius - Kohls Weelborg Chevrolet New Ulm
They had what we wanted, by chance, they don't typically deal in Toyotas and were able to work seamlessly with our bank to purchase the vehicle.
