2008 Toyota Camry - A car for a lifetime.
My 2008 Toyota Camry is truly one of the best cars I've owned. Most cars I've owned I remember having either a few complaints about or some issues that I thought, ""well this could be better or have been better designed,"" but not my Camry. The interior is extremely quiet for a car of this value. There have been no odd noises or rattles and it is 10 years old. The seats are very, very comfortable and have held their own over 10 years. The dashboard has the look of a luxury vehicle and at night the interior dash lights are bright enough to see the controls well being soothing and unobtrusive to my view of the road. The stereo system (stock that came with the car) has excellent well balanced surround sound and again, easy to operate when driving. I enjoy driving in the country - sometime... (more)
Story
The first weekend we had the car (in the fall) we took a weekend drive up through Wisconsin to see the foliage and it was cool enough but not cold to drive with the windows open. The view was spectacular and the car was a joy to drive through the Wisconsin countryside
Pros
Reliable, great smooth ride, easy handling and a comfortable interior.
Cons
I find the trunk to be a bit small, but guess I'm used to the old huge trunks.
2008 Toyota Camry - Reliable, comfortable and great looking
The Toyota Camry is one of the best cars I ever owned. Its sleek and traditional styling makes it a standout in a moderately priced vehicle. For ten years, I have been able to count on worry-free reliability on my Camry. The interior is as quiet as a Mercedes I once owned and the operation controls are placed just right for ease of use when driving the vehicle. The seats and leg room couldn't be better. I'm tall at 6' 5", and at first was worried the leg room would be tight. Just the opposite, this Camry has plenty of leg room for a big guy like myself. And I mentioned the seats. Well, I'm more comfortable driving six hours on a trip in my seat than I am sitting on the awful couch my wife paid $1,200 for a month ago. My buddies also say the back seats are a comfort. The A/C and heat s... (more)
Story
Ten years ago , after first buying the vehicle, we took a trip from Indiana up through Michigan (UP) and then up into Canada across over to Quebec and then down through New England. It was fall and the leaves were turning. We rode often with the windows open to feel the breeze and enjoy the scenery.
Pros
Comfortable seats, great reliability. A smooth ride in a quiet car.
Cons
The stereo system could be better. The sound seems to come more from the back than evenly over the front and back even after adjusting the fade between both.
