It is everything. It has nice styling lines and aerodynamics. The ride is exceptional and so smooth you hardly feel the road. The transmission shift is very quiet, and you hardly notice the transition as it is so seamless. The LE, of course, has some extra features not found in the standard models. Power windows and power locks. Power adjustments of seats and power lumbar support for the driver is very nice. The back of the front seats is very comfortable for back support for older drivers. Cruise control is smooth and keeps a reasonable speed without to much self adjustment and jerking. The windshield wiper blades cover an large amount of the windshield glass with variable speeds. It has a CD player that has wonderful sound in the speakers but overall would expect more. The i... (more)
Story
Just the memories of going to the ocean and over the coastal mountains. Just good stuff.
Pros
The positive things of this vehicle are the smooth ride. And the added benefits of the LE edition. The thing that stands out the most is the incredibly smooth ride. It seems to glide like an airplane. It adjusts to road conditions well. The steering is very responsive and requires very little effort. I especially like the fact the engine does not have a timing belt but a chain which only needs repair when the darn engine wears out. The windshield is large and expansive. The automatic transmission shift very smooth. If you are not really paying attention, you cannot even tell it is ... (more)
Cons
The air conditioning is a little below expectations. My last Toyota, a Corolla, got almost too chilly. This one does cool OK, but it takes a little effort to reach a comfortable level, especially in hot weather. The fan works well but lacks real power and blast especially when you come inside the car from brutal heat. It is the same with the defrost fan. It works OK but needs a little more blast for the exceptionally large windshield. The CD player can be especially annoying. It can skip without any provocation which can be irritating. I found out homemade audio CDs or MP3s have a r... (more)

My Toyota Camry, despite being fairly old, is an incredibly reliable and utilitarian car. I have never experienced major mechanical issues in my time owning it, and all the maintenance and repair work that has been done on it has been very inexpensive. I can largely keep up with routine maintenance myself, as far as oil changes and simple things are concerned, which is a huge savings. It gets fairly decent fuel mileage, so it is not very expensive for fuel costs even when I am driving a lot. It's comfortable on the inside, with durable and nice cloth seats and a roomy interior and trunk that's good for long distance driving. On the outside, it's an extremely nondescript car, painted gold so it looks like a stereotypical "grandpa car." This is great for driving and parking, since it doe... (more)
Story
When I was camping in Joshua Tree with some friends, I had to use my car to come rescue them after their SUV's battery died on a Jeep trail. It was late at night, and the Jeep trail was very bumpy and rough, but my Camry handled it with relative ease. Cruising through the middle of the desert with my windows down, rolling through rough terrain in an old sedan, and being able to help my friends... (more)
Pros
Very cheap maintenance costs, and it does not often need major maintenance of any kind. It has been kept in good mechanical condition, so it runs very well and has not presented me with major issues in my time of owning it. It is also fairly fuel efficient for an older car, so gas is not very expensive. The air conditioner and heater work extremely well, making driving a very comfortable experience no matter what the weather. The interior is also comfortable for long stretches without having to be very high maintenance like a leather interior. The trunk of the car is also very big, which i... (more)
Cons
It is an old car, so its age is beginning to show and some maintenance costs are rising. It has dents and scrapes, and one side mirror wiggles a bit while I drive due to the mirror being hit before I owned the vehicle. It is not as fuel efficient as modern cars or especially hybrids. The interior, while comfortable, is old cloth and plastic and has begun to show its age. The stereo and media console largely do not work. The tape deck is broken, and the only way to plug in a cell phone is through an FM transmitter I had to purchase separately. This does not work very well, often bringing in... (more)

The salesman was very knowledgeable and provided a lot of great information about the car. He provided several tips that were designed to avoid frequent "gotchas". There was no pressure by the finance department to use their financing or other "add ons". Also, they did a great job of prepping the car. The salesperson also introduced me to the service department personnel.
