I purchased a used 2007 Toyota Camry LE in November 2015. The car had been in a minor fender bender, so I got it for a fair price. It had 110,000 miles on it when I bought it. It is a sky blue color and looks wonderful. The interior has a nice display and even has a place for me to plug in an MP3 player. The backseat has a fold down armrest with a drink holder for the kids. The car is very good on gas without sacrificing too much in the way of horse power. The car looks nice driving down the road, and even though its 11 years old, still looks pretty sleek compared to newer models.
Story
When it snowed one time, I had to drive to work. I backed out of the driveway and began driving down the snowy road. It was slick and somewhat scary. As I made a turn at a slow rate of speed, the car lost traction and I turned sideways. It scared the heck out of me, but I managed to regain control and continue on my way. Front-wheel drive works great!
Pros
This car has been great to me. It gets great gas mileage and is fairly low maintenance. The reliability is a prime reason I'll continue to buy Camrys in the future. However, the safety of the vehicle cannot be understated. Four months ago I was in an accident. Someone pulled out in front of me, and I had to slam my brakes. Still dented the front passenger side of the car. I was not hurt, and I attribute that to the overall safety of the vehicle. The brakes worked as they should, and the bumper did its job well. I have repaired the car and intend to drive it until the wheels fall off.
Cons
The only thing I can think of that would be negative about my Camry is the ABS control module. It seems that this component in the Camry from 2007-2010 might be faulty. When driving one day, I noticed my gauges were going wild. Turns out the ABS control module went out. I researched it and found out that this is a fairly common occurrence in these Camrys. The part itself can cost over $600. I picked one up for $100 from a junk yard and replaced it myself. That is the only con I can think of.
