2007 Toyota Camry Owner Ratings & Reviews

2007 Toyota Camry - Great family car
We purchased our Toyota Camry when we were getting ready to have kids. We've never been van or SUV people, so we needed a full-size sedan. We drove many, many cars on the market, and were left cold. Most of them felt like they were too modern, meaning that they tried to cram in gizmos or stylistic things that were flashy, but ultimately not functional. We loved the Camry from the moment we got in it. It is roomy without being a land yacht. It can easily accommodate us, and two car seats, with room to spare for our residential cleaning business supplies (mops, vacuums, step ladders and the like) due to extremely roomy trunk. It rides very smooth, which is a huge plus when you have little ones. It does not have the bells and whistles of some of the other cars we drove, but honestly, that... (more)
Story
There are tons of red Toyota Camry owners in our neighborhood. It's like we're part of a club!
Pros
It is very roomy. It fits our family very well. It's a good, basic car. It's very reliable.
Cons
The gas mileage isn't as good as in our compact cars.
2007 Toyota Camry - Best mid-sized sedan for long-term use
I have had this vehicle for over ten years and have put in almost 200,000 miles on it, and this car is still running strong! It is a fairly easy car to maintain, as my husband has been able to do all oil changes and brake part replacements himself without having to take to a dealership. We got rear-ended by a car a few years ago and took it to the dealership to have the minor repairs done, and the person driving the shuttle to and from the dealership thought my car was only a couple of years old because the look of this car is timeless, and I'd had it around 8 years at that point. The car is very economic, with great gas mileage in the city and on the interstate. Since we have the XLE brand, the interior is phenomenal. Though the "leather" might be fake, it still looks like the interio... (more)
Story
Since we are a military family, this car has been everywhere with us! But lately, this has been the perfect car to take us on day trips to the beach! We live about an hour and a half away from the Gulf of Mexico and enjoy getting up and making the short drive down to the beach, and then driving back home in the evening. We can usually make the trip without stopping for gas too, so that's a plu... (more)
Pros
Very affordable, great quality car. Easy to maintain and repair. Very reliable. Has held up for the last 200k miles, hoping to get at least another 50k out of it! Sun roof is nice for a little extra light. Very roomy, my husband and I are short, but my 6'4" dad fits in our car very comfortably. I also love the interior with the "leather" and wood paneling.
Cons
If you go to carcomplaints.com, this particular year and brand of car does tend to have an excessive oil consumption. Normally oil changes are done every three months, but this car generally has to have oil added/changed every two months. Engine is also starting to rattle a bit, but it does have almost 200k miles on it, so it will need some engine repairs in the near future. It also doesn't take hills too well.
