1999 Toyota Camry - This is a great car. Great on gas mileage and even looks sleek.
Love the car I bought it a few months ago and its been getting me places ever since. The gas mileage is amazing not to mention the car looks very nice.

1999 Toyota Camry - Hard working and reliable.
This vehicle likes to take it nice and slow, but you can always rely on it to get you where you want to go. Its gray color is not particularly appealing, but you'll blend in just fine in the parking lot and likely do not have to worry about anyone stealing it and taking it to a chop shop. I believe it would be a great vehicle for a detective agency because it is so discrete and does not draw attention to itself. Maybe a little too vanilla? Yes, but if you like vanilla like I do, then this is a great vehicle. The car is not likely to give much "personality," but if it has an exhaust leak like mine, it will run and sound like a toad. It can fit up to four friends or family, so there is enough space for short little outings or errands. Some may smirk at this economy vehicle, but I smirk w... (more)

Some may smirk at this economy vehicle, but I smirk when I learn about how much people spend a month on vehicle costs including insurance, gas, and payments. I have been commuting with this vehicle for years and know it will just keep going like the Energizer Bunny.
I once drove this vehicle to work after some fresh snow. Even though I waited to go into the office after some of the snow melted, I still ended up taking a risk. It was a risk that I should not have taken. I ended up hitting some black ice and did a full 180. I jumped a curb and ended up bending the wheel drum. I was unhurt, and there was no accident, but several people driving SUVs had a smi... (more)

I was unhurt, and there was no accident, but several people driving SUVs had a smirk on their faces as they drove past. It may have hurt the pride a little, but this car is the "Little Engine that Could" and has kept running.
I have owned this vehicle for several years and have had to do only a couple of repairs. This is a very reliable vehicle, and I anticipate that it will continue to run for some time. Once it gets into higher mileage, it has the same issues you would expect with any vehicle. When I have had to repair it, it has been very easy to do on my own without paying a lot of money for a mechanic. This car will get you where you need to go. The interior, while not flashy, is comfortable. A great commuter car for the city, and it has great gas mileage. My vehicle is a four cylinder meaning that you will save substantially on gas expenses. Insurance is also pretty cheap since it is mostly a nuts and bolts type car. This is a great starter vehicle for a high school student or newly married couple. It gets the job done! Another great pro is that as the car ages, you won't care if it gets dings and dents or scratches. Feel free to park it wherever you please since other people will likely have more expensive vehicles than yours and will damage their value much worse than anything you receive on your car.
It is not a very pretty or sporty vehicle. The body type is not particularly fun to look at, and it will not turn any heads when pulling into the neighborhood. After awhile, the paint will start to chip off and expose the metal underneath. This makes an already unattractive vehicle that much more difficult to look at. This is a commuter vehicle, so I would not recommend taking it on too many rough roads. I enjoy hiking and camping, and getting to remote locations has been a struggle since the care will bottom out on a lot of rough roads. There's really not much utility, and you won't be ab... (more)

There's really not much utility, and you won't be able to cram a lot in either the cab or the trunk. It does not have any "giddy-up" whatsoever and you can expect that everyone will beat you off the line at a stop light. There are also not a lot of accessories that can be added to this car. Obviously, the year, make, and model of this vehicle means you are driving a dinosaur, but that dinosaur is not extinct yet. As far as safety is concerned, you'll like lose in any motor vehicle accident since it is not the sturdiest car on the market.
