I love that this car fits a petite person very well. I feel the size is just right, neither too big nor too small. The car is now eight years old and has no major work done. The only thing I had to replace is the battery in all that time. Maintenance on the car is very simple, oil changes twice a year and refill wiper fluid and anti-freeze. It gets decent mileage on the expressway, approximately 24 MPG. The car has held up very well in those eight years, the interior has no signs of wear and the paint job looks new. People consistently think it looks like a much more expensive car. The car does have some rattling from the sun roof when you go between 40 - 50 MPH. Slower and faster are ok. Also, due to the slope of the rear portion of the car it is difficult to see behind you when parki... (more)
Story
The first time I took the car out for a drive, I couldn't wait to open the sun roof. This was my first time having a sun roof in a car. I drove up and down Lake Shore Drive with the windows open, the sun roof open and the CD player blaring. I felt very free and independent. It felt like I had become a true, self-reliant adult.
Pros
The car has great longevity and quality, I don't have to worry about breaking down somewhere. The style is great and looks more luxurious than the price. Dual airbags keep both the driver and passenger safe. It comes with an MP3 outlet and plenty of place to plug in electronics for charging. The steering wheel has buttons to control the radio so you don't have to take your hands off the wheel.
Cons
The ride can be a little rough because the car is so close to the ground. Also the lowness of the car is bad in Chicago during the winter months because I get stuck more easily. You have to be careful when backing up due to low visibility.

I love that it's never had any mechanical issues. It was a vehicle built to last and is extremely dependable. The heat and a/c run like the first day off the line. It has a powerful engine and has a lot of get up and go. It seems like it is a vehicle that could last forever. It is has a metal frame and if it crashed into a lake it would sink very quickly. Some stuff is evident of what Toyota is lacking with its older model vehicles, like the paint job has shown a lot of wear and the rear shocks are needing to be replaced. It has a sun roof that's kinda hard to hang your body out of because it sits right where the middle consul is. The automatic seats are really awesome make it easy to adjust right on the side in case a hefty fella was to large to bend forward to adjust the seat positio... (more)
Story
One time when I spent over 2 hours in stand still traffic. I fell asleep and my car died due to low gas and the only reason while I woke up was a nice Asian had knocked on my window because she believed I died. Sometimes I wished I had.
Pros
Powerful, dependable, a/c and heat continue to stand the test of time, roomy, and a lot of tech features.
Cons
Leather seats and steering wheel that feel like the lava pit in hell on hot days. Cheap paint applied by Toyota. Toyota is terrible at wheel and suspension design.

This is by far the best vehicle I have ever owned. I highly recommend it to others all of the time. I can not speak much about the vehicle when it is new as mine already 254,000 miles on it when I purchased it. It currently has over 300,000 miles. My check engine light is not on, nor are any other indication lights. Everything runs smooth and properly as it should. It still gets the original mpg that it gets new which is 29 miles per gallon, which I have to say is amazing for a vehicle with this kind of mileage. The interior has basic wear and tear, but overall is still in good condition. I personally very much enjoy the ease of the operations of the sunroof and other functions. It's ride is fairly smooth and it handles curves ,turns, and hills very well. It functions great on gravel r... (more)

Pros
Gas mileage is exceptional and holds well after time and mileage, fairly comfortable seating, stereo speakers are of high quality, trunk is decently large, the vehicle handles, curves, turns, dips, and bumps very well, doesn't require much up keep.
Cons
In order to replace a/c belt you have to remove serpentine belt, some electronic components due not operate properly after mileage and time.
