I purchased this Toyota 4Runner used from a individual for cash. At first I didn't care for the dark forest green color but it's growing on me. I was skeptical of the high mileage as well, 185000 when bought, but it was too cheap to pass up once I referenced prices of other 4Runners with that mileage. So far there's nothing I dislike about it, it drives great on the country roads and I can't wait for snow so I can try out the 4 wheel drive.
Story
Driving it is always fun, it's much more comforting driving SUV/Truck on the country roads near my home.
Pros
Reliability was the main selling point in purchasing a Toyota 4Runner. I have 2 family members who own them, and they've been great trucks. It has lots of space for me to haul things around. I can get my mountain bike in the back after laying down the seats and I don't have to worry about it being outside my vehicle on a rack. My dog also enjoys the space in the back compared to my old car. It handles rough roads well.
Cons
Some things don't work on the vehicle but that's no big deal with the high mileage. The CD player doesn't work, but may be fixable. It has high mileage, but runs well. The seat controls work sometimes and sometimes they don't.

My 2006 Toyota 4 Runner is a V8 4WD SUV that is stylish and very dependable. It has a sunroof that is a nice added feature. The vehicle has 175,000 miles on it and runs like it's new. With scheduled maintenance, it hasn't skipped a beat. Even though the vehicle is over 10 years old, I still get comments on how much people like it. I've had more than one person tell me it's one of their favorite vehicles. The performance is still great.
Story
The 4Runner is very fun to drive. A great memory is when we had a snowstorm, and it handled great. I had no issue getting around town in the snow.
Pros
Some pros are the sunroof, 4WD, and V8. It is the sport model and has a nice black fabric interior.
Cons
I wish the 4Runner didn't have a timing belt and instead had a timing chain. I have had multiple actuators go out inside the doors that prevented my door from locking and unlocking.
