The Toyota 4Runner SR5 Limited Premium is the best vehicle I ever bought. It has all the bells and whistles that one would expect of a top-of-the-line vehicle from Toyota. It handles exceptionally well and gives the driver a feeling of safety and security that I haven't encountered in a vehicle before. I had previously purchased 2 different Toyota Highlanders, which were great vehicles but didn't give the solid feeling that the 4Runner does. The Highlanders were both sluggish on acceleration, whereas the 4Runner has a quick response and great acceleration. It is a quiet smooth ride, and handles bumps well. he seats are comfortable and the dashboard has all the needed controls in good positions within easy reach. It makes a great vehicle for outdoor activities with the spacious cargo ar... (more)
Story
There are some small lakes not too far from my neighborhood that I could see from a distance but really couldn't get to because of the dirt roads and not wanting to get stuck and not be able to get out. Not long after buying my 4Runner, I asked my Mom to go for a ride with me to see what was back there. Mom is an even bigger bird lover than me. We got back in the woods with no problem and came... Pros
The most important and best-quality feature of the Toyota 4Runner SR5 Premium are the safety features. It has plenty of airbags, anti-lock brakes, and the signature Toyota unibody construction. In the event of an accident, the 4Runner has crumple zones that absorb the impact well and prevent bodily harm to the driver and passengers. The crumple zones are something I was really looking for before I purchased a vehicle. Going through the absolutely terrifying 15 seconds of being rear-ended at a stoplight by a speeding Audi in my previous Toyota, I got to experience first-hand what these crum... (more)
Cons
It's hard to find anything bad about the Toyota 4Runner SR5 Premium. I suppose the worst thing about my purchase was the price. The 4Runner doesn't come cheap. If it did, everybody would have one. I paid over $40,000 and it was tough but I have no regrets. Another down side is it doesn't allow me to carry more than 3 passengers at a time, the back seat really isn't suited for 3 passengers. That wasn't an issue for me, but the vehicle just won't work for a large family. Another thing I really didn't like was I couldn't change the oil myself for two reasons. Toyota insists you use their serv... (more)
