This is a one of a kind truck. It was the last year that Toyota put solid axles in the front of their trucks. This makes the fuel injected 4runner a great option for off-road enthusiasts. It has a removable cab so it is almost a convertible. Mine has been slightly modified with a four inch lift, 33 inch tires and an ARB winch bumper with a 9000lb Warn winch. The 22re 4-cylinder engine is famous for its durability and dependability.
Story
I have gotten this truck stuck in some pretty interesting places over the years.
Pros
The dependable engine and the strength of the solid axle are a great selling point of the truck. I also love the removable top for those hot summer days. The fuel mileage is also pretty good with about 18 miles per gallon. The SR5 interior is nice with power windows, A/C and an inclinometer.
Cons
The cons of this truck are the ride quality, turning radius and loud road noise. Because of the straight axle the ride quality is not the best. You definitely feel every single bump or pebble. The turning radius is not terrible but it could be better. Hopefully I'll add 4 wheel steering one day. The cab is also not insulated very well so you really hear the road noise.

I really like my 4Runner. This vehicle is a great car for a family. Its a good and compact 4 door vehicle. It gets decent gas mileage and is comfortable for more than 2 people. It has good handling, brakes well and even has a nice sunroof. Only had one problem with the motor the vehicle was in the shop for about 2 weeks.
Story
So much fun in this vehicle, always had a great time taking in down to the river or up to the mountains. Always able to haul all the kids, dogs and gear anywhere we needed to go. Doesn't do to well in the snow, but its great at cruising through the mud puddles.
Pros
Its got a lot of room, 4 doors, good power and good gas mileage. I love the sunroof and the back tailgate. Its got plenty of room for a family and my dog. Easy to get in and out of. Also great for taking camping or for a nice drive in the mountains.
Cons
My only cons to this vehicle is the gas mileage, but its not bad considering the size of the vehicle. The other con is the engine. The engine has caused the vehicle to be in the shop a couple of times now for the same problem, a blown head gasket.
