My Ô04 4Runner has been nothing but good and reliable for years. Toyota knows how to build an SUV that won't back down. Comfortable to drive in the city, on the highway, or down a muddy trail in the woods. I've driven it cross country three times and had zero issues. The odometer is now reading 239,000 miles, and the truck is still going strong. Big enough to fit all of my fishing and camping gear, strong enough to pull a trailer and tough enough to give me peace of mind. Not exactly a fuel-efficient vehicle but not quite a gas-guzzler either. I'd rather have the reassurance of quality and knowing that I will never get stuck anywhere I go than the extra couple MPGs. Very little heavy maintenance has needed to be done. A few things that you would expect out of a car pushing 240K miles. ... (more)
Story
I once pulled a one-ton dump truck out of a ditch during a blizzard in my 4Runner.
Pros
Superior reliability, unstoppable in 4X4 mode. Easy to work on and not bad fuel efficiency for its class.
Cons
Rusting. Interior is starting to fade and crack. Tire size is uncommon and expensive.

The 2001 4Runner was by far the best vehicle I've ever owned. It was reliable, tough and fun. It would go through snow and mud like nobody's business. Also, with the sunroof and really spacious storage in the back, it was a fun family car. I never had many issues at all except for standard maintenance and I drove it a lot. I used it for my business as well and carried around everything from computers to tools. I really loved that vehicle and would recommend one to anyone.
Story
Not really... had a blast driving it thogh.
Pros
My favorite features were the 4 wheel drive, the sunroof and the spacious back end. The car was really cool looking too... for those of you that are SUV fans. Then there was the Toyota reliability. I had very few issues beyond the standard maintenance stuff and I had put on a lot of miles. It also had 67,000 when I bought it.
Cons
Probably the biggest con was the gas mileage... it's an SUV. 17 - 18 city was to be expected. The other thing I found out was that the chrome bumpers had a habit of collecting moisture and corroding after a few years. I did have to replace the front bumper after having it a year or so but fortunately it didn't end up costing that much.

They were helpful when helping me choose a first car to buy before college. I went to a few other car dealers to try and find the best selection and prices, and this once came to be the best. Their prices are fair, and they have decent customer service that let me look at the cars at my own pace.
