I bought this vehicle when it was six years old. I have not owned the vehicle for eleven years. The 4Runner is now seventeen years old. I have had no major trouble with this vehicle. It is dependable. Do your job in keeping it maintained and it will do its job is running efficiently!
Story
This was my first car purchase, and I was able to do it with the help of my father who is now passed away. Purchased in the Knoxville, TN, area.
Pros
It's AWD. It's a four door. I like the running boards, window guards, and tow package that comes on the 4Runner. It gives it a better look. It's dependable. No fancy technology inside (being that it's a 2002) but has the basics as needed. The V6 engine gives it the power needed to go.
Cons
The only negative is at times the gas mileage per gallon could be better. It gets around 18/20 for city/highway.

The Toyota 4Runner has been a very reliable vehicle for me. It a four door with a large space to seat up to five with seat belts. It is a four-wheel drive for snowy weather. I've had it for ten years and have had very little problems with the car.
Story
It was the first car I purchased for myself as an adult. I am proud of this car and have kept it clean and mechanically in line for its oil changes and checkup routines.
Pros
It is a four-wheel drive that can go in any weather. I feel safe driving it. It is a four-door vehicle with a 'trunk' area. The back window goes up and down. I have not had many mechanical issues with the vehicle. I bought new tires when I bought the car in 2008, and I still have them almost ten years later. It has power with a V6 engine.
Cons
The gas mileage isn't extremely bad, but I would like it to be better. It only gets at about 19 miles to the gallon in the city and about 21 on the highway.

Sales agent was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, non-pressuring, and patient. And professional! The inventory and prices were very attractive - better than the competitors that I had been to - and you could tell they did their homework on that. They gave me a great financing package that met my terms as well as a great deal on my trade-in. They have met all of my service needs with quality, affordability, and timeliness - and it's easy to drop my truck off after work and after hours when it's more convenient for me. Everybody who works there seems to be very honest, down-to-earth, capable and willing to help even before you have to ask.
