2006 Toyota 4Runner - I loved this car
This was probably the best car I have owned. It was powerful, fun, safe, and really easy to drive. I had the V8 model, and it really had power. I loved the acceleration, the handling and the overall great ride it provided.
Story
I got this car when I started dating my now wife. As time passed, and we became more serious, it was obvious that we would not need to buy a new car for some time because this one met every one of our needs.
Pros
I had a V8 so it was really powerful. It had a lot of space and a great deal of comfort in the cab. As a 6'6" person, I need all the space I can get and this SUV provided it for me. Such a great car and lots of fun.
Cons
The gas mileage was not good because it was a V8. Also, it did not have GPS or other advanced technologies. I wish it would have had more tech but oh well...
2012 Toyota 4Runner - Great dependable car!
My car is a small SUV. I like the size since I have a family and need the cargo area for trips. It is a small enough SUV so it gets ok mileage and is very peppy, unlike some larger models. Toyotas in general are known for reliability and dependability. I had another Toyota before this and it was a great car.
Story
I can't think of anything out of the ordinary. My kids love it though and like to talk to it like it's a person.
Pros
Great pick-up.
Very good handling.
Reliable.
Good sound system and iPod/USB compatible.
Has a Bluetooth link up that works very well.
Great safety ratings.
Fantastic visibility.
Cons
Middle back seat has a strange seatbelt that is inconvenient to use. This is one part of the car that really should have been thought out better. It attaches to the roof and you need to pull it down and anchor it in the middle of the left passenger's seat in order to be able to buckle it. It seems to cut into the functionality of the left seat because they have a seatbelt anchored behind their back.
I would like better mileage ideally but I don't think it will happen with SUVs.
