My 2007 Toyota 4Runner is sturdily built and feels very safe to drive. I feel very comfortable about my toddler's safety while transporting him in his car seat. I find the car both good-looking and highly reliable. In the 9 years I have owned it, I have never had any problems with the engine or any other aspect of the car. I would highly recommend my Toyota 4Runner to others.
Story
I went to college in a mountain town and was on the snowboard team. I was able to drive 3 other team members and their equipment to and from practice twice a week, even in the snow. I was also one of the only people of my friends who had a 4-wheel drive vehicle so I was the only one who could take everyone on grocery runs whenever it snowed.
Pros
The car sits up very high and gives me great visibility that I do not have when I drive lower-sitting cars. The 4-wheel drive allows me to drive off-road and gives me more control driving in snowy conditions. The interior has a lot of space and the collapsible back seat has allowed me to store my snowboard inside the car on ski trips rather than needing a rooftop ski rack. The large gas tank allows me to stop less often on long trips.
Cons
My 4Runner could be a little more fuel-efficient, especially in city driving. While the heat and air-conditioning works very well in the front seat, there is only one small vent in the back seat so the back seat takes much longer to heat up or cool down. Because the vehicle so high, it can be hard for people to climb up into the seats if they have injuries or a limited range of motion.

This review is of the V8 version, which has plenty of towing capacity. We use it for our small travel trailer. The SUV has been dependable and is better on gas than many other eight-cylinder vehicles. It has a comfortable ride, closer to the feel of a car than that of a truck. It allows us to carry a good deal of materials, which was necessary when we were remodeling our house.
Story
We have had a lot of fun with this vehicle. It has gone on every camping trip that weÕve taken with our RV.
Pros
It has over 100,000 miles and has needed minimal service. It has only had regular maintenance (oil changes, brakes, tires, etc.). The car is very comfortable to drive. The controls are well with access to the driver. The storage area is ample, and the back seats fold down to accommodate the transportation of larger items.
Cons
The rear window is capable of opening with the remote. However, the remote will not allow the window to close. You must put the key in the ignition and close the window using the switch on the dash. The vehicle maneuvers very well in snow and soft surfaces. It traverses through many places where other cars would get stuck.
