What I love about it, is that it still runs pretty good for being 14 years old. The quality is great, and since its a SUV , I feel very safe in it..Lol. What I dislike about the car is that the exterior fades rather quick and because its such a huge car, it sucks up gas like somebody drinking water on extremely hot day. All in all the car is great, although I'm looking to buy a new car very soon. Oh yea one more thing. Some of the parts inside the car tend to fall off quickly. I think its a great car though. Since I would like a new one. I may trade it in at the Toyota dealership or sell it.
Story
Oh yes hahaha. I will never forget when my aunt came down from England , and we went into Walgreen's. She bought a Starbucks iced coffee. So when we went back into tmthe car I went over a speed bump the same time she was about to take a sip. Needles to say, the coffee was all over the place...Lol, boy did we have a good laugh :)
Pros
It drives well and I definitely feel secure. Everyone that drives with me in the car , says it drives and smells good. Due to my California cherry air freshener, which is awesoooome!!!. The ac is really good. Keeps me and family and friends cool on summer days, and when it cold , not that it gets cold here living in sunny Florida. But the heat works great as well. So all in all I cannot complain. I love driving in this beautiful silver SUV.I also love washing my car on a weekly basis. Keeps my car squeaky clean, and allows me to save a few dollar ,dollar bills y'all!!!...Lol
Cons
Well I hardly drive it and it sucks the gas dry which is annoying cause we all know how expensive gas is these days. The paint exterior chips fast and also has a few scratches. Some of the parts inside the car, tend to fall off. Which is also frustrating. But hey , I guess that's the least of my problems right?? Definitely needs a painting. Also the front window is old and no matter how much I try cleaning it. It still looks dirty which I'm like oh no it didn't...Lol, also sometimes the back windows falls down by itself and like o sheesh..Smh. I think I would prefer getting a smaller car, ... (more)

Fun to drive on in all conditions, rain, sleet, snow, ice, dry roads, or off road; simply amazing. Handles well on the highway at high speeds. Comfortably rolls in four wheel drive crawling through rocks, deep snow, or mud. The kind of vehicle I can feel confidence in, knowing my family will be safe. A family vehicle that competes with any other SUV in its class. I'll probably buy another one when I pass mine along to my son as his first vehicle. Already put 240,000 miles on my 4 Runner without any major mechanical issues. Looking forward to another 100,000.
Story
A few winters ago a large F-250 had slid off the road and was stuck in the snow. You know the type, big lift, with the naked girl mud flaps and hillbilly stickers. Anyway the owner was as cliché as one might imagine, I stopped and offered assistance. Loved the look on his face when my little 4Runner pulled him back onto the road.
Pros
In true fashion of Toyota my 4Runner has been the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. I provide regular maintenance but other than that after 240,000 miles I haven't had any major mechanical failures or issues. I can pull a trailer on the highway or go off road deep in the mountains with equal confidence, that I'll get where I need to go. I love the utility rack, its an easy, convenient, and fun way to haul the family camping equipment without sacrificing seating. Not that it doesn't have plenty of cargo room. Certainly more than enough to haul groceries. I often pickup wood and other... (more)
Cons
Like many SUV's gas mileage is sacrificed when compared to some other vehicle types. That being said if I have to choose between better gas mileage or losing capability I'll eat the gas mileage.
