2007 Suzuki Reno - Like an American car, but more expensive.
The car, overall, is very... Dissatisfying. I've had nothing but problems with it. I purchased it with 69,000 miles form the previous owner with a blown head gasket (previous owner's fault). It has been nothing but a nuisance to maintain, and a burden to repair. When it works, it works like I would expect any car to run. Speedy little car, but it gets the job done.
I got this car as a "We need a car now and oh look, here's this one", and I have never seen a car with so many issues crop up 200 miles after purchase.
Story
A memorable story I have of this car is that I took it to go hunting for the first time. It fit a Mosin Nagant (notoriously large rifle) in the trunk without having to put seats down, and I was shocked I was able to do that. We didn't bring back the deer in the same car, but it fit all the equipment incredibly nicely.
Pros
Coming from a coupe, I liked the four doors. I loved the interior, surprisingly. I thought I was going to hate it. The OEM radio was the first radio I've liked in ages(granted, the entire interior of the car is modeled after a Chevy Aveo). It fits rifles quite nicely in the trunk though, I will give it that.
Cons
It looks like every other Ford Focus, Chevy Aveo, the list goes on... The car blends into the scenery. The parts are absurd to obtain and the prices on them are even more insane. $500 For a new hood, $110 for only one (not the whole set!) Of engine mounts.
MPGs are horrible for comparable vehicles. 28MPG highway/21MPG City is almost absurd.
It came from the factory painted like it had just come from Maaco.
2007 Suzuki Reno - Major Issues
The Reno is a nice enough looking car. It is also comfortable to ride in and has plenty of interior room. We bought the car used at sixty-three thousand miles. Within a week, the check engine light was on. When it was placed in the shop, it had a variety of issues that needed to be addressed including replacing the catalytic converter. Since then, the car still does not seem to shift right through its gears. It has a jerky sort of motion. And now the air conditioner has also went out and it needs to go back in the shop. We've owned the car for a year and only put seven thousand miles on it. I'm afraid to drive it very far because it just doesn't seem like a dependable car to me. Also, the interior has some wear issues.
Pros
It was inexpensive to purchase. It still had part of the warranty on it when we purchased it. It has fair gas mileage.
Cons
The Reno had to have major parts of the exhaust system replaced before 70,000 miles. As soon as we got it back from that, the air conditioning system has went out. I have not placed it in the shop yet to see how much it will be to fix and am considering selling it. It just doesn't seem very dependable to me.
2001 Suzuki Reno - It is a great car.
I like my vehicle very much. The are a lot of pros. First of all, the size of the car. It is very easy to park and maneuver. It is gas efficient. The quality itself is very good. It has never broken down on me. I just changed the oil and anti-freeze. I already have more than 20,000 miles on that car, and it is still does not making any problem to me. What about cons? For my growing family, I'll need bigger car. And also the doors and windows. They are not automated, and I would like it to be upgraded. The main key is opening locks only form the front door.
Story
I parked my car in front of the store. When I went out of the store, I almost got into someone's car that was the same model and color.
Pros
Size and economical aspect (fuel).
Cons
Windows are not automatic.
