2015 Subaru Crosstrek - I like my little Subie
The Crosstrek is a good size, it's comfortable for me to sit in and drive, and I love the backup camera feature. Thinking back to our purchase, I do wish that I had waited until they had an automatic clutch because driving a stick in busy traffic is not desirable. I do love the color of our Subaru, a royal blue, the sun roof is a great feature as well as the touch screen control panel on the inside of the car. Call me crazy but I love that it also has cup holders in the center and in the door as I tend to carry water bottles with me everywhere!
Story
After showing off our Subaru to his coworkers and friends, we had to make a big move from one state to another. My husbands friend offered to help us load up the truck and was also very excited to show us his new ride. He pulled in the driveway and we walked out and immediately started laughing because he had bought the Exact same subaru, color, interior and all!
Pros
The car seats 5 people comfortably with a good amount of storage room in the hatch. My husband is very tall and the leg room is good in both the front and back seat. We love the rims on our vehicle, and the overall design. For an SUV, the Crosstrek is the perfect size, not too big and easy to drive and park. The Crosstrek gets excellent gas mileage on the highway making it easier for us to take frequent trips back home to Virginia. Cons
The car does not get great gas mileage with in-town driving and could really use air conditioning in the back seat because it gets extremely hot in the back.
2014 Subaru Crosstrek - Its a nice crossover SUV/hatchback. The fuel is much more economical than a SUV.
I like that I get the ground Clarence of a SUV BUT I get better fuel economy. I also like its sport look. Its not bulky or looks too heavy. The wheels really make it look modern. It came with heated seats and an auto dimming mirror which is nice when you are driving at night. I feel the price was a little high and the trunk space is a little limited for an SUV type of car.
Story
I drove this car to work the first time and people kept looking over because it is bright orange and black. They told me that its perfect for Halloween.
Pros
I love the 4 wheel drive and the 8 inch clearance. It is fun to drive on country roads. The handling is very smooth and tight on the curves. The car comes with USB and auxiliary ports which is really nice. The radio is Blue tooth enabled so I can talk hands free. It also comes with a CVT transmission so I can do manual on tougher roads as well as automatic.
Cons
The price is a little high as this is essentially a hatchback just raised. The lack of rear view camera is also a little bit of an issue as well as no standard satellite radio tuner. I have Satellite radio so I will have to get an after market player.
