I love my Subaru Crosstrek. It is has a beautiful body that is a sleek mix between SUV and car. The entire look of the car fits my personality exactly. It runs great in the snow, which is important in my Rocky Mountain home. The hatchback opens up to a massive amount of space for all of my fun toys, including a child carrier, tents, skis, strollers, playpens, you name it. I have even fit a recliner in the back of this beast! I also have the back up camera, which is a necessity, and I don't know how I lived without it for so long! The only downfall I have found to my crosstrek is the amount of noise it makes on the interstate. Especially if I have the windows down. That aside, however, I get 34+ miles to the gallon, have never slid on icy roads, can go up a snowy hill without a hitch, a... (more)
Story
We took it on a camping trip to Crested Butte a few weeks back. We had it loaded down with baby stuff, camping stuff, firewood and of course all the dress up clothes for the wedding we were attending. Along with our roof rack, we were able to fit everything we needed, and had space to spare. We watched as other Subaru drivers struggled on the rocky 4X trails that had low clearance, or trucks t... I purchased the 2015 Crosstrek Hybrid this year and I am absolutely in love with it. The size of the car is perfect for me. It’s not as big as most SUVs, but bigger than a car. Even though it is bigger than most cars, it drives like a small car, easy to weave in and out of traffic. It is has a good amount of horsepower too. The sound system is a better quality than my previous car. I like the display telling me about how much MPG I’m currently using and if my battery is charged for the hybrid mode and if I need air in a particular tire. The gas mileage is great and I fill up once every two weeks depending on travel. The color of the car, bright green, is also attractive too. I enjoy that it is all wheel drive and will be safe in any weather or terrain. The price is very reasonable too!... (more)
Story
I took my family on a camping trip. I wasn't sure everything was going to fit, but it did! We camped in Pennsylvania right on the Appalachian Trail.
Pros
The main reason I love this vehicle is the gas mileage. My previous car was a "gas sucker" and the MPG on this car allows me to go further and longer without filling up. I also like the size of the car. It's bigger than a lot of cars but not too big that I feel like I'm driving an SUV.
Cons
The only negative thing about the vehicle would have to be the controls on the steering wheel. I like to be able to search the stations on the radio, but I can only flip through pre-programmed ones. After driving it for 6 months, I have yet to find anything else negative about the Crosstrek!

I love my Crosstrek. I have been, for the most part happy with it from day one. I will try to summarize the pros and cons in the next couple sections.
Story
I took my daughter and her friend to a punk concert in Anchorage from Homer. We had a great time and I let them play whatever music however loud they wanted to.
Pros
My favorite thing about the car is how easy it is to drive. For what it is, it handles really well. It is responsive when I turn, brake, or slow down. It has a great interior (mine is black) that cleans up easily. The dashboard is easy to read and easy to look at. The gas mileage is about 32 miles to the gallon which is perfect for the distances I have to drive daily. It also looks great. Every time I see another Subaru I still shrug. Mine looks better. I have had zero engine issues. I like the room in the car as well and have had the car stuffed on several occasions. I love the heater and... (more)
Cons
I hate the rims. I love the way they look but they allow too many rocks to get hung up in the brakes. I have never had this problem with any other car. When rocks get hung up in the brakes they make the worst sound ever and they have to be removed on the spot. It is inconvenient. I also do not like the volume of the heater/air conditioner fans. Way too loud. I don't really notice it until I turned it off and then I realized the silence is super nice. I am not too keen on the fact that cars bright me all the time when my lights are on dim. I run the factory lights and have had them checked... (more)
