Subaru Outback Owner Ratings & Reviews

2011 Subaru Outback - A solid daily driver with great comfort, but a few nagging issues.
The 2011 Subaru Outback 2.5 Limited is one of the better cars I have ever owned. It is extremely spacious and comfortable. The Harmon Kardon sound system is fantastic, even though the connectivity leaves a bit to be desired (no Bluetooth playback on the default head unit). The ride is comfortable, and the multiway adjustable front seats are fantastic. Definitely splurge for the limited with the leather heated seats and HK sound system. The build quality is fantastic for the most part. There are some rattles, but much less than other cars in its price range. The wood grain trim on the inside feels a bit out of place, given the rest of the car, but otherwise, it's a well-coordinated scheme inside. The one nagging issue I have is the headlight assembly. The HID lights are around $50/bulb,... (more)
Story
My wife and I used to take our Great Dane for drives from time to time. Windows down, sunroof open, just relaxing feeling the nice air, seeing the dog happy in the backseat with her giant head out the window. People driving by, thumbs up, fun times.
Pros
Fantastic build quality, amazing sound for being factory.
Cons
Some rattles, a few electrical issues, and the blind spots from the A-pillar are a bit large.
2005 Subaru Outback - Good for snow driving.
My car is a bit on the older side so as such it has just a basic radio set up, no AC, and a heater that is slow to start up. It has a lot of space for people or boxes though, and is pretty solid on driving around on dirt roads.
Story
My sister borrowed the car to go to the movie drive in and watch something spooky. They all sat in the back wrapped in blankets and ate too much candy. The car was back in the driveway the next morning so I got in and drove myself to work and didn't think much about it. Except like half way there I made to sharp of a stop and there was a loud think and a several 'owwwwws' coming from my trunk.... (more)
Pros
Drives great in the snow. I live in an area where often the roads do not get plowed, or if they do it'll be a week to late. This is one of the few cars that can comfortably drive around town at night in the winter. Also despite its age I haven't had any problems with finding parts for it when something needs replaced.
Cons
Its old. And ugly. And has a terrible radio. You know the radio in the first silent hill game that makes that high pitched screech in the presence of monsters? That's my cars radio all the time. Supposedly it can be fixed but at this point it's more expensive to fix it than it would be to replace the whole thing.

Olympia, WA Dealer Ratings & Reviews

2016 Subaru Crosstrek - Bill Koenig Chevrolet Oldsmobile Subaru Port Angeles
The dealership worked hard to make the car what I required.. On the initial test drive I noticed a loud wind noise at highway speeds. The noise was loud enough to prevent me from buying the car even though the rest of the drive was fine. We both agreed it was probably from the roof rack, but I wanted proof. The salesman found a car without the rack and we quickly set off to check for wind noise. None. So they agree to remove the rack (and the cost) of the car I want go for yet another drive to confirm the noise is gone. Problem was indeed solved. They did all this while they were juggling several other customers. Nice to have a responsive dealer.
