Subaru Outback Owner Ratings & Reviews
Write a Review
2014 Subaru Outback - Perfect.
The pick-up speed is perfect. Drift on muddy sections and snow is great. Steering and control is incomparable to other models I have owned. Car length is good. Had sun roof. Great for outdoors. Fuel consumption is great. Repair costs are at a minimum.
Story
All-time, four-wheel drive helped me when I was in snow and a muddy section. In a chase situation, in Chicago, when I suspected another car following me for 20 miles, I was able to speed up and lose the other pursuing vehicle. Fuel consumption is also great.
Pros
Power and gearing are great. Covers long distances without major issues.
Cons
No window frames on driver and passenger doors.
2012 Subaru Outback - Great MPG, AWD Vehicle
I bought a 2012 Subaru Outback because I needed something that got great gas mileage and that was all wheel drive. I have a Jeep Wrangler, but the gas mileage was unsuitable for business use. I get around 30 MPG with the Outback in combined driving. This is equipped with the 2.5 H4 engine. There is also a 3.6 H6 (6 cylinder) The interior is large and roomy. There is plenty of cargo space. Also, you sit higher than any other station wagon. The interior is also well appointed. The cabin is also quiet. The ride is smooth, even in rain and snow. The Outback has lots of great standard options with its base model. The starting price point is around $22k - I bought mine new for $24k. The price point can go up to $36k for the V6. Overall, I like the car for the value, but I would not buy a mor... (more)
