I returned to Subaru after our GM car was recalled. I trusted the Subaru brand for 20 years and went to American made. Was burned twice. I owned both Subaru makes for 10 years each with little or no problems. I expect that I will own this car for at least another 8 years. It is comfortable, easy to drive and has better pickup than before. Also, they have worked through the gas consumption issue that plagued this model in the past. I was happy to be rid of the GM car due to the safety issue that were in the news; I have a child and a disabled husband. When I drove, that was a concern; not any more. Over all I am glad that I made the decision to return to being a Subaru owner again
Story
With all of the children and other wildlife in our neighborhood the back up camera comes in handy. It has spared life and limb on more than one occasion.
Pros
Back up camera, adjustable heated seats, Bluetooth, on demand traction for bad road conditions, cargo space, stereo system, safety rating
Cons
Price was a bit steep, however, considering how long they last - a worthy trade off.

2012 Subaru Outback - Worth the wait!

From the time I took a test drive, I absolutely loved this car. It went over bumps in the road like a dream and I didn't feel a thing. The leather seats are super comfortable, and the option of having heated seats in the winter time is absolutely amazing. The brakes seem able to stop on a dime, and the car also accelerates at a good clip. I've been to many festivals in my Outback and have managed to drive across the uneven grass lots with ease, whereas other people seem to have difficulty.
Story
I was at an outdoor festival and there wasn't much parking. The attendant was trying to get me to go further down the road to park, but I saw a nice space near the entrance. He told me that I could park there if I wanted, but he was sure my car would get stuck because other cars had in the past. My Outback was able to easily manuever into the space and out of it at the end of the day with no p... (more)
Pros
I love the seat warmer in the winter time, the built-in navigation system, and the available sound system (great for listening to XM/Sirius radio!). There is also a lot of room available in the "trunk" area to put things like outdoor chairs, tennis rackets, and so on.
Cons
I don't have much negative to say. I love my car! I suppose it would be that the auto start button is on a different fob than the key, so I have to carry 2 items around with me.
