First, I am really impressed with the overall build quality and reliability of my car. In all the time that I've had it, it has only needed to be taken to the shop a few times. The looks are a little conservative, but overall decent styling. Relatively comfortable, even after a few hours. Has good handling and feels good to drive.
Story
I was able to scare my mom by switching to sport mode and accelerating as quickly as the car could while getting onto the highway one time. That was pretty funny.
Pros
Very good gas mileage considering it is an AWD vehicle. Usually got around 30mpg highway, which is very reasonable for that size of vehicle. The handling is very comfortable, and I feel confident in it. The acceleration is quick when needed, but the car itself isn't jumpy. Braking is also smooth and easy. More room inside than most people will ever need. Even tall people fit inside pretty well. Back seats fold down really well, allowing for larger loads in the back. Overall I feel very safe while driving, but can also have a little fun if I wanted to.
Cons
If you want a sporty car, this isn't the one to get due to its acceleration. The seats aren't very comfortable for long drives, so anything over three or four hours.

2003 Subaru Outback - Great all around car

I like my Outback, it is a car that is good at pretty much everything. It is smaller and more gas efficient than a full size SUV, while providing many of the same capabilities. The car has shown to be extremely reliable despite having nearly 200,000 miles on it. Most electronic components still work and little maintenance has been needed.
Story
I was able to easily drive up hills and areas that were covered in snow and ice while seeing people in other cars and trucks unable to get up
Pros
Full time all wheel drive, 6 cylinder boxer engine, symmetrical drive shaft all add up to great traction control. Leather seats and large amount of options on the LL Bean trim. Towing kit
Cons
Stereo does not have an aux port. Annoying to have to burn music to CDs nowadays when everything is kept on a phone or iPod. The transmission shifting is very rough compared to most cars. Sometimes you can feel and hear it clunk as it shifts, and it can feel like the transmission is trying to kill itself. It feels like something is wrong, but I've had it checked by a couple people and they say it is working fine and that shifting like that is normal for that model ABS in this car is extremely spastic when driving in snow, it might engage when stopping from a speed of 10mph
