This Subaru Outback has been a great car to me over the years. It has been very reliable. I have kept up on the maintenance needed as it comes. It is great because it is roomy, so I can haul things back and forth whenever I need. I use mine like a truck in that respect! I'm always hauling something around. The best part is the gas mileage it gets: because it is a 4-cylinder engine, it gets excellent gas mileage.
Story
This thing can go anywhere a Jeep can. I have taken it down woodsy roads and muddy trails, and it has never been stuck.
Pros
The best part of this vehicle is the space to haul things. The seats fold right down, and you can fill it with stuff. Also the gas mileage of the 4-cylinder engine is hard to beat. I can haul the things I would haul in my truck but for half the cost. It is also a great vehicle in snow, as it's all-wheel drive.
Cons
The only real issue I've had with the Outback is that the catalytic converter was plugged up. It fowled my sensors and a few other parts, and the repair bill was outrageous through a dealership. Another issue I've had with my Outback, only started happening after 120,000 miles, was that it stopped wanting to start when it was cold (below 20 degrees). After replacing starter, battery, and alternator, it still doesn't like to start in the cold without a boost.

This was the second time that I purchased a car from this dealer. I have found their prices to be very fair and reasonable, and they post the blue book value of the car right on the car so that I know that the price is accurate. The salespeople are very knowledgeable. On the other hand, there is no high pressure salesmanship, and they gave us the chance to look at the car on our own without rushing us. The showroom is beautiful, and there is a feeling of quality throughout the dealership.

They were very easy to work with. I was expecting to get tackled and hassled when I walked in the door (especially since I'm a young, naive-looking female), but the opposite happened. I was able to approach a salesman on my own and ask for help with the car I wanted. Throughout the process, it felt like my salesman was on my side, helping to make sure my needs were met within the monetary constraints I had. They gave me $5000 for my old Ford Escape, and free oil changes for the life of the vehicle (which is apparently standard for them).
