I love this car because I feel safer driving in the winter. I also use it hard! I have kayak carriers on top and throw two kayaks on top and travel all around the state to lakes and shores to kayak and go crabbing. I take it on hiking and camping trips, and I have never gotten stuck anywhere.
Story
I went crabbing and put the bucket of four dozen crabs in the back seat and they fell over on the highway and four dozen angry blue crabs went scurrying around seeking their vengeance! And they did! State police officer gave us aide on the emergency lane and laughed like all get out! Even called some friend cops to help!
Pros
It is a rugged vehicle that I don't have to worry about getting dirty. All wheel drive is a huge bonus and now I won't do without it! Gas mileage is actually pretty decent compared to other vehicles I have owned.
Cons
It eats tires because of the all wheel drive. The driver's seat could be a little more comfortable for long drives. It sits you low.

I love the symmetrical all-wheel drive. After several years of driving 4WD pickups, I can't live without all-wheel drive. The car feels very connected to the road, even in heavy rain or snow. It crawls up snowy/icy hills with little trouble and has plenty of power when it comes to merging and accelerating with traffic. The wagon form factor is awesome with ample cargo room. The 60/40 fold down rear seats let me transport long items like lumber and bulky items like filing cabinets or small–medium appliances. The stowing roof bars allow me to carry over-sized items like 4'x8' sheets of plywood and swing into recessed storage nooks so they aren't visible when not needed. The motor and transmission are set low into the body of the car, giving it a low center of gravity and a very sta... (more)
Story
I had to drive through a flooded road with six inches of water on the road to get to a construction site, and had complete confidence in the car getting me through it.
Pros
The radio is easy to use and has Bluetooth for pairing audio devices, which is awesome because I use my internet radio via my phone on long drives. The seats are heated (included with the car from the dealership -- if you buy in the NE region of the US), are quick to warm up, and are a delight during cold winters. Lots of cup holders and storage nooks and compartments. The air conditioner and heater get to the selected temperature quickly, and the motor warms up rapidly so there is little wait for heat.
Cons
If you are not transporting things on the roof bars and they are in the deployed position, they whistle at highway speed which is mildly annoying. The factory floor mats move around a lot and require constant readjustment. Clock/ext. temp are high up in the center cluster over the radio and are obscured if anything is on the dashboard storage spot. Fan speed for the A/C and heater only has four speeds, so there isn't a lot of choice for the amount of air coming through the vents, and the top two speeds are noisy. My car has the CVT transmission, so there isn't the lull-and-jolt you get fro... (more)
