2012 Subaru Legacy - A great car, A great Value
Our 2012 Legacy is everything we have expected tit to be. Practical and Dependable come first to mind. after 2 years our total for routine maintenance has been under 200 dollars. the car is fun and comfortable to drive with a lot of leg and headroom on both the front and rear of the cabin. for the most part the controls are well thought out.
Story
We took our Subaru on a 1400 mile round trip on vacation. it served our needs perfectly and more surprising got 35 MPG when the car is rated at 31 on the highway
Pros
the best part of the car is the fact that for less money than you pay for the same class of car you get the advantage of full time all wheel drive without a big drop on fuel economy. the car has the right amount of interior room without being wasteful. The CVT transmission is supplemented with paddle shifters when the sporting feel strikes. the seating is comfortable with just the right amount of support without being too stiff
Cons
drawbacks of the car include engine noise from the boxer engine. poor radio performance in FM mode. the climate control buttons are a little small and you have to take your eye off the wheel at times to use them.
