This car has consistently exceeded my expectations from the day I got it. I was so happy to buy this car and even though it has had one major repair, it has run like a dream and gets decent gas mileage as well. I plan to drive this car into the ground, so I'm looking to put at least 200k more miles on it which will make it very worth the amount I paid.

The car was purchased used with only 9,000 miles so it was in perfect condition still. I love that it's a deep red, not an ugly red, even though that's superficial. I don't like flashy cars, and this is a very practical vehicle. The engine runs well, although I do wish it had a little bit more power. Sometimes accelerating onto the freeway seems like a struggle, and it is not meant for hauling heavy loads. I also wish it had a trailer hitch and a rear windshield wiper, since I have to clean the rear windshield myself when it gets dirty, and the trailer hitch would allow for a good bike rack. The spoiler on the car keeps it from looking too old-school. The car is compact but spacious enough inside for me as a 5’9” tall person. I have been able to transport large items such as dining tab... (more)
Story
I took the car camping once in the fall, and once I pitched the tent on site and stepped back to take a photo of my cute campsite, I realized it looked just like a Subaru advertisement! The sun was shining through the leaves, which matched the red of my car, and I felt like I was using the Subaru the way it is marketed -- for having fun, outdoor experiences.
Pros
One of my favorite features, while not the most important, is the color. I like red cars, but it is a deep red, so it's not too sporty or flashy. I also know that Subarus are durable and reliable, and so far, this has been true, even though I've only had it or five years, but I have had no issues whatsoever with adding 30,000 miles to it, including a cross-country drive. I like that the car is practical without looking too old, partly because of the spoiler. It looks really nice when waxed. The audio system is pretty good for a car, and the auxiliary cord plug-in is a must for me. I also p... (more)
Cons
I do wish the car had more power...sometimes accelerating onto the freeway seems like a bit of a struggle, and hauling a carload full of boxes out of my apartment for a cross-country move really brought down the car's performance. I couldn't go much faster than 65 miles an hour, and going up hills required slowing to 50 or so to prevent the RPMs from spiking. However, since the car is a sedan, I understand that it isn't meant for hauling. Even though the car is spacious, sometimes the ceiling over the driver's seat rubs the top of my head if I sit in certain ways, so it might be good to ha... (more)
