2012 Subaru Forester - Practical, effective
The vehicle is a small-midsize SUV. For the cost/price, it's practical for my use when driving through various terrain especially snow. The exterior has simple lines (boxy shape) and the interior is surprisingly roomy. The quality of the exterior and interior (cloth) seem like they will last with proper care. When opening the doors, though, there is a hollow metallic sound. When driving, it handles as I'd like it to - gas and brake pedals aren't too sensitive, and the ride is cushiony when going over bumps.
Story
I use this vehicle daily for transporting my dog around. She sits in the cargo area, and it's funny to see her look out the back window then (via my rear view mirror) watch the face of the driver behind me.
Pros
I'm very impressed with the size of the sunroof, as the size is almost panoramic. I also like that the steering wheel has controls for my Bluetooth-connected phone, so I can scroll through songs.
Cons
As mentioned, the hollow metallic sound when opening the driver and passenger doors makes the vehicle feel cheaply made. Also, if not using the steering wheel control, the controls on the stereo head unit are far away so I have to lean forward and reach for the volume knob. I have no negatives on the driving performance.
