1999 Subaru Forester - Love: That's what makes an old Subaru worth it
This is a rather old car compared to the flood of new cars that have entered the market, and I love that it still runs and performs as if it were a younger car. The Subaru Forester is a really well-made machine, its parts are not cheap and the car does not need as much maintenance as other cars its age. The car performs well as a daily driver, and despite its mileage, is holding up to the test of time. This kind of quality in a car makes Subarus, and Foresters specifically, very likeable in my opinion.
Story
I took the Subaru Forester up to the mountains in North Carolina and did a little drifting, a little off-roading. That's the kind of events these cars were made for. The car handles well on wet roads and is fun to drive around the mountains. We actually drove to the top of the highest mountain in North Carolina and parked inside of a cloud -- what a memorable moment!
Pros
My Subaru Forester is capable of driving in rural, off-road areas as well as in the city, having the AWD feature. It also has a kick and good gas mileage, due to the Boxer engine that comes standard with the vehicle. The Subaru Forester also comes with a standard tow package for towing which is great and comes in handy a lot.
Cons
Cons about the vehicle are few, but to name one, the car is a little heavier than the small cars I'm used to. It's almost an SUV actually instead of a wagon or sedan. This being a heavier car makes gas mileage and power a little lessened.
