I love my Subaru more than any other vehicle I have ever owned. I've never had any problems with the car other than routine maintenance. The interior has held up over time, as well as the exterior. The design is functional as well as beautiful. Subarus are excellent in any weather.

We owned a 2001 Subaru Forester for many years. The car was a workhorse and had over 225,000 miles on it before we got rid of it this year. It was by far the safest car I've ever driven. The all-wheel drive was fantastic in the snow and ice and the visibility was excellent. The vehicle is more of a car/truck hybrid with large windows and truck style mirrors. Gas mileage was so-so because of the all-wheel drive tranny. Even after many years in northeast US winters, the car still looked pretty darn good. It was roomy and comfy and the leather seats were a god-send with little kids. The rear seats fold down to give an enormous amount of cargo space when needed. The biggest issue we had over the years was the very common head-gasket problem on 4cyl engines of this Subaru generation. Also, the wheel bearings in this model were terrible. We replaced them over and over again and went through many CV boots and a couple of wheel axles as well. But, overall the car keep going and going winter after winter. We hated to see it go, but it was replaced with another Subaru for all our winters to come.
