2012 Subaru Forester - The safest car I have owned
My Subaru is honestly my favorite all-time vehicle. Before it I often felt unsafe driving. But not now. I feel safe behind the wheel at all times. I feel like I am in control of the steering wheel; it turns at the slightest touch. The brakes in my car are on point. Stopping at a dime. My seats are comfortable and fit me very well.
Story
I have never driven the speed limit before my car. I was such a intimidated driver and felt so unsafe I stayed five under. My first time cruising my new car I didn't even notice when I was doing five over! I was so comfortable driving her.
Pros
The top pro in this car is the safety features. Hands down that is the first thing that comes to my mind discussing pros. I also truly love the feel of the interior. It also holds up as I am a mom, and my kids are so tough on my vehicles.
Cons
The cup holder is in front of the heater vents! So my soda is always hot in the winter time when the heat blows directly on my can. This is the worst place ever for a cup holder--seriously.
2011 Subaru Forester - Love it!
I love how this car handles in the snow. The gas mileage is pretty good. It's just an all-around nice vehicle.
Story
We had a winter storm with quite a bit of accumulation and drifting, and I headed out to go to work and couldn't believe that I made it through a good 2 1/2 feet of snow.
Pros
I really like the heated front seats. Also, having the Bluetooth is a great asset. The gas mileage is pretty good. It handles very well in the snow in the winter and also handles well on back roads in the summer. Has good clearance.
Cons
The passenger front seat seems to sit very low, and in my vehicle, you can only adjust the seat manually. I don't believe the back seats are very comfortable. The overall ride is okay.
