2012 Subaru Forester - Subaru Forester is both practical and fun
My Subaru Forester is such a great car. As a person who enjoys outdoor activities (hiking, canoeing, etc.) It's a great choice. While the cargo space is not huge, it is more than roomy enough to hold backpacks, coolers, or my dog. It's also great for hauling groceries. The mat makes it easy to clean if the adventures get a little messy.
The AWD is perfectly capable of handling what little off road driving I do. The suspension also allows for a smooth ride. The gas mileage is respectable, especially on the highway. I have averaged as high as 31 mpg on the highway. I've had no mechanical problems so far and maintenance costs are reasonable.
Story
The Subaru was great to drive when my family went to the lake. The cargo space easily held our backpacks, swimming gear, and the dog. We were also able to easily attach our canoe to the roof. The Subaru easily got us down the old dirt road to the lake. When I needed to clean out the mud from my dog's paws, I could easily remove the mat and the cargo space and rinse it off.
Pros
1. I love the sporty look and feel and the visibility the crossover body style provides.
2. I love all the space in the cargo area.
3. I love the dependability of the car in all types of weather and on a variety of road conditions.
Cons
1. The car is just slightly under powered. It gets me where I need to go, but it doesn't do it particularly quickly.
2017 Subaru Forester - A safe, family-friendly car
The car is incredibly safe, and I feel comfortable with my family in the vehicle. I think it is roomy enough for two car seats, and I enjoy the smooth ride.
Story
The car was able to drive well through a muddy pit when we were going to a concert. It looked like we had been through a storm!
Pros
The ride is smooth and quiet. My car seats fit in the back with enough room for groceries. The radio sound system is good and has good sound quality. The car drives well and has good performance. The car performs well in snowy conditions. The car is quite comfortable, and the seating is nice. The car fits both tall and short people in it. There is ample room in the dashboard. I enjoy the ease of putting car seats into the car.
Cons
The car was costly. I don't care for the color of the vehicle. Sometimes it makes strange beeping noises when we're driving. The windshield wipers aren't fantastic. The car is very cold, and the seat warmers do not work.
