This vehicle has been great for me, especially since I am a college student that attends a commuter college 20 miles away. The gas mileage is exceptional and has yet to cost me over $30 to fill it up in the 3 years that I have had it. I chose to add heated seats in the car which have definitely come in handy in the winter! They provide just the right amount of heat and contain two different settings that adjust the heat intensity. The air conditioning is great as well, it cools very quickly and operates on an automatic setting based on the temperature. The "trunk" provides just enough storage space for small bags and is perfect for small shopping trips. Because of the size, the car is very easy to park and operate. The safety ratings are also very good, which makes you feel safe even t... (more)
Story
I love driving this car in the summer time with the moon roof open, windows down, and loud music playing some good tunes while driving around town with a best friend sharing laughter and memories.
Pros
My favorite things about this vehicle are: 1. The gas mileage 2. The small size that allows me to park in tight spaces easily 3. The powerful air conditioning 4. The auxiliary input built into the car 5. The perfect heated seats
Cons
The undesirable things about this vehicle include: 1. The heating/air vents are manipulative and only point in specific directions 2. The turning radius isn't great 3. The way it shifts on its own doesn't allow you to speed up quickly

The Smart car is an inexpensive two-seater car that has a lot of mechanical flaws. The automatic shifting in the car was not well made, therefore, there is constant jerking when accelerating and decelerating. The car has repeatedly had issues starting and has left me stranded three times. Upon inspection at the dealership, it was determined that there was a "computer programming error." These multiple issues all occurred during the three year lease period on my vehicle. On the positive side, the inside held up during three years of wear and tear, and, it costs around $20 to fill up the tank.
Story
I packed up about 75% of my belongings and drove across town to move into a dorm. My roommate, my family, and my friends were shocked at the amount of stuff that I fit into the tiny car!
Pros
80% Of materials used to build the car are recyclable, all of the fluids in the car are environmentally friendly, the inside is spacious, the trunk is bigger than expected, and the gas mileage is better than most cars on the market
Cons
The shifting is jerky which can get annoying at times, sometimes the car shakes for no apparent reason, and I had issues with car door shutting initially.

Driving my Smart car is really fun! I love parking it, including parallel parking (because I just pull right in). It holds two people just perfectly. My husband is 6'5" and he fits! We have traveled a lot in my car; we can fit our two suitcases in the back. It’s not the most smooth ride; it’s pretty bumpy. I love the great gas mileage and don’t mind paying for premium because the mpg makes up for it. It is inconvenient when I need to take more than one person with me. That happens a lot. There are two bad things about the car. The first, it is expensive to fix and needs more repairs than I would like. I’ve had many problems with the A/C about 4 years after buying it. The tires are expensive and hard to get and cannot be rotated. The doors are so big and heavy, they started coming off t... (more)
Story
Every time my 6'5" husband gets out of my car, he gets funny looks! He doesn’t fit well, but he does fit.
Pros
Gas mileage. Parking anywhere. Easy to drive.
Cons
Expensive and hard to fix. Other cars can’t see you. Bumpy ride.
