I thought this car was amazing, it was nice being able to park in small spots in the city, loved that. I also added some upgrades to make it heavier and a bit faster, and added cruise control which was nice on the longer drives.
Story
People would always comment on how I was able to squeeze into small parking spots. I especially like having someone in a hummer look at me strangely.
Pros
Small car, very reliable, and fuel efficient. I like that I still had space in the back trunk for groceries.
Cons
It was very light, passing over bridges on a windy day had me rattled on more than a few occasions. For long drives one definitely needs cruise control, as the way the seats are made and space limitations makes it an uncomfortable vehicle for long drives.

I love my Smartcar. It's recognizable. Everyone notices you when you have a car that looks different than all the others, and it's nice to be noticed but not targeted; like people who have really expensive cars have to worry about their paint job because mean people key expensive cars. It's also deceptively small. It looks very tiny from the outside, but inside it's very comfortable, and the trunk space is bigger than my last two cars. I'm a Doctor Who fan, so I like to call my Smartcar, my "Tardis". She's bigger on the inside! It's also really smooth to drive. And while it's not the fastest car, it has no trouble on highways. It just isn't going to win any drag races. It doesn't accelerate very quickly, but has no problem maintaining highway speeds.
Story
Showing off just how tight I take curves in such a small car.
Pros
The positive attention! I seriously get strangers coming up to me all the time to ask me about my car. I've been stopped at red lights from other drivers! I also love seeing little kids who've never seen a Smartcar before. They look so confused and amazed. It's fantastic. I also love the standard features. I couldn't afford any upgrades when I bought my car, and got the stock features. Which included heated seats! Heated seats are the best thing in the world. I use it year round to comfort my back after a long day at work.
Cons
Smartcars do not accelerate quickly. I don't know why, they're not heavy. I wish they felt like they had more power, guts, or something. It feels like the engine is weak.

2009 Smart fortwo - Love my Smart.

The car is very small, but that's exactly what I like about it. I can fit a month's worth of groceries in the trunk with just a laundry basket to accommodate. Repairs to body damage are extremely easy, as most of the body panels are plastic and can be mended with household items such as duct tape or zip ties. The car does really well in the city as well as the highway, getting roughly 45 miles per gallon. It is super easy to park, because it is so small. The car is the same size from nose to tail as a regular sized pick-up truck from left headlight to right headlight. You could literally park 2 of them in a single space if you drove them straight in.
Story
I've driven this car all over New England. I've put so many miles on it that I am surprised parts haven't started falling off. I don't really have any fun/memorable stories about the car; I drive to work and I drive home. I guess if I had to pick one story, I would say that moving my son up to college for his first year was pretty memorable. Most of the other parents were bringing their kids i... (more)
Pros
Easy to park. Great gas mileage. Easy to repair and maintain.
Cons
Only 2 seats. Goes through tires and headlights very quickly. Parts can be expensive.
