This is an affordable car for a new driver looking for something sporty. This car has been very reliable for 200,000 miles so far not really having to take care of anything but maintenance. It has a lot of power for a 4-cyl it'll get you going fast. This car is very good for saving gas, it has a sleek newer look and a very unisex design by far. I've had this car for a long time and I use it as a daily commute car through tow and to get to work. The design is targeted at younger people and has an amazing stereo system in all aspects. It's a perfect car if you're wanting something compact but still spacey inside. It has a decent safety rating compared to a lot of other cars in its price and size range. Taking turns safely is so easy in this car because of the firm suspension it has. The ... (more)
Story
The time I drove to Walmart with my friends after buying the car and I kept getting held up at every red light and I wasn't over the sensor for the light to turn green so we sat there for 10 minutes at the light and a 20 minute trip turned into 40 minutes and the next orange light I saw I tried to run it (I was not getting caught at another light) and it turned red 3 seconds before I needed to... Pros
The interior has held up very well. It has been very reliable. It has a decent safety rating. Nice look and design. Gas saver.
Cons
The firm suspension makes it easier to do a lot of things safely but also makes going over bumps worse because of how low the body is.

Overall, the Scion tC is an excellent ride. It has a high performance look, decent gas mileage, and plenty of space for its body type.
Story
Just a great car for cruising in the summer, sunroof open and windows down. Great speakers, so crank up the radio and have a good time.
Pros
Aesthetically, the Scion is very pleasing. For transporting items, the folding backseats offer plenty of space. I have moved tables, gym equipment, musical instruments and more very easily. The drive is smooth, with great handling. Also, there are a lot of features available: iPod/mp3 capability, excellent factory speakers, sunroof, the works.
Cons
The performance tires available for this model are not recommended for colder climates. They were fine while I lived in the U.S. South, but when I moved up North, they made for precarious winter driving. As well, there is a known defect with the trunk handle coming off. Recently, however, the manufacturer offered free replacement for broken handles, so This is a fixable issue. Lastly, the hatchback style may not work for everyone. With that said, the trunk space (even without the seats laid down) is larger than it seems, so don't let the hatchback trunk deter you from checking out thi... (more)

I loved buying a car from a salesperson who was not earning commission. I learned that a new Scion is flat priced, so I was able to look at the new cars on the lot and pick one with the features I wanted and know exactly what my bill was. Because my sales rep was not earning a commission, he was very honest about the car and because he'd even driving one he was able to show me how he'd used his as a sleeper during camping trips. It was a low pressure, very direct experience. They were even able to beat my (already low) pre-approved interest rate. I will be buying another Scion from them when the time comes.

The sales associate was very friendly and well informed on all the models of vehicles available on the lot. Initially I was interested in a Yaris, it was in the price range I was looking for and a friend had one I liked. Unfortunately, some changes had been made and the Yaris didn't feel right to me. He listened to what I wanted and suggested I try out a Scion. He implied it was basically the vehicle for the young Gen Xer or Older Millennial. I loved it and took home a limited edition XD.
