2010 Scion tC - Affordable and reliable.
My original reasoning for purchasing this car was that I was finishing college and needed a reliable/cheap car to get me to and from my classes and new job. It had not been my intention to keep this car for several years, but time passed and I never had an issue with the car. All of a sudden I have had the car for six years and still no issues.
Story
My most fond memory in this Scion was taking it across the country during the summer on a long road trip. It was a long and cramped ride, but in the end, we made it home with a solid car and great memories.
Pros
The Scion gets great gas mileage while still being slightly sporty. The interior is quiet basic but very easy to use and comfortable. While this is a small two-door hatchback car, there is quite a lot of room when the back seats are folded down.
Cons
The Scion seems to have outrun its reliability as the culture of owning a Scion has turned towards younger teenagers. I would have to say to the biggest downside to the car, and the reason that I am looking for another car, is that people don't view me as a professional when I arrive in this car. They see me for my age rather than ability.

2005 Scion tC - Toyota Of Smithfield
I had had a bad experience at another dealership just before buying this car. I walked out before signing anything. I went to Colonial and was treated fairly and I liked the salesman. I didn't feel like he was trying to take advantage of me.
