Prior to purchasing this car, I had always admired it from afar. I absolutely loved the sporty look of the Scion tc. It's a two-door hatchback that has a dual sunroof, which means the sunroof covers almost the entire length of the roof. A great aspect of the Scion tc is that it has so many different ways that you can adjust the driver's seat. I also like that the rear seats fold down. This has been so very helpful when I have large items that I need to place in the car. The other really cool thing is the sound system. I am a music lover. I love playing my CDs while I drive. The speakers in the Scion tc are unbelievable! My friends have even commented on the sound quality. Unheard of in any of my previous cars. When I purchased this car, I believe it had about 20k miles on it. Here it i... (more)
Story
One memorable experience I had, and surprisingly still have, is I'm just amazed at how many looks I get when I'm driving this car. It's a 2007, but it maintains its look so well that I think folks are surprised at how old it is.
Pros
The top positive things about the Scion tc is the sporty look and feel of the car and the moon roof that expands the roof of the car. I forgot to mention in the previous section that I can adjust the moon roof half way so that it flips, or I can open the moon roof all the way, which is really nice on nice spring days when it's not too hot. I've also enjoyed very much the sound system. I could not ask for a better quality stereo like sound in my speakers. This feature makes the purchase so much worth it because I drive a lot and listen to music all the time.
Cons
Unfortunately, there are a few negatives but actually I'm just starting to experience them now. I noticed a couple of years ago that my car seemed to be consuming a lot of oil in between oil changes. I did some investigating and was told that this model did have this problem. I have to add though that even with this problem, I've been able to add a thicker grade of oil because I have high mileage, and that seems to be holding the issue at bay for the time being. Instead of adding oil every couple of weeks, I now can go almost a month before I need to add more. The only other negative thing... (more)

2007 Scion tC - Small fast car for fun

This car is fast and powerful, but very small. This is a good car for a young single person who will not need any trunk space. The car comes with many base level features: a loud radio, moon roof, power windows and locks. The back seats fold down for a bit more storage space in the hatchback. The hatchback does have hydraulic pistons, which have failed and the hatchback itself is extremely heavy. It was an easy repair. There are several small storage compartments in the car. There are plenty of places to put change, papers, or CDs. The interior is a very nice, durable cloth and the colors are very sporty and stylish. The exterior is sleek, and the car looks very sporty as well. The car is able to go very fast and has good pickup when the gas is hit. The fuel economy is OK for highway, ... (more)
Story
I live close to the highway. It's very easy to get up to speed and merge, almost too fun pressing the gas!
Pros
The moon roof is a very nice feature. The roof is entirely made of glass, and there are screens that can be opened in the front and backseats. The sound system is pretty effective and loud.
Cons
The car is small, good for one to two people, but not more than that. Also, there is not a lot of trunk space, even with the backseat folded down. The gas mileage is terrible, especially for city driving.
