The Saturn Vue I have is a super vehicle. I am only sorry that the Brand is not made any longer. The idea of the Plastic panels instead of metal was ingenious on General Motor's part. The Honda engine is a strong peppy engine, it is a v-6 and has a lot of get up and go when it is needed. I have over 125,000 miles on this vehicle and it still looks and runs like new. Of course like most vehicles there is a problem or 2 but I have addressed that and GM was more than happy to cover the expense. The transmission would act odd when leaving a stop position and tried to accelerate. This was repaired at a then Saturn Dealer in Rockford, IL and they did a fine job. Story
Fun would of been going up to Michigan in it and getting super gas mileage and having lots of room for 4 of us in the car. As I said before, there is not much negative to say about this vehicle.
Pros
Plastic body panels are the best, they do not show the dirt or dents at all. The engine is the best, has great gas mileage and get up and go. The front wheel drive is great in the winter.
Cons
Transmission problem was a bummer but it was fixed.

I bought my Saturn Vue while I was in high school. It was in great condition -- interior was spotless, seat and seatbelts had no tears or snags, the air conditioning and heating worked better than a vehicle right off of the factory line. I have had no major problems with my vehicle for the past eight years that I have owned it and will probably continue to drive it for another 8 to 10 years or until it finally gives way.
Story
Driving it in the warm summer months on the highway with the stereo turned up really loud, all the windows down and the sunroof open.
Pros
I have given my car the name of Old Reliable. She got me through the last years of high school, all the way through college and years after graduating with little to no problems. She has great air conditioning and heating capabilities, the stereo systems has great quality and to top it off, and she has nice sunroof for the summer months. She also gets excellent gas mileage, 20 bucks and the gas tank is completely filled!
Cons
A negative that I found with the car is that after it rains or when snow starts to melt, a little water will trickle in from the sunroof and wet the lining around that sunroof but nothing too major. Another negative is that the calipers on the front tire have locked up twice on my car, thankfully it was easily repaired and didn't cause any significant damage.

There was an inexperienced Salesman there that I dealt with so he wasn't that great at trying to "sell" the car and instead was honest with me and helped me pick a great car that met my specifications.
