From the moment I got the car I loved it. I've had my '04 Grand Prix GT for 5 years now. It had around 75k miles when I bought it, and I'm now over 130k and you wouldn't even know it had so many miles on it based on how good of shape it is in. Even after 10 years and all of those miles, this car just keeps on chugging along. I've never needed any major repairs or had a major breakdown. This car is comfortable, reasonably fast/sporty, and cheap to own and maintain. On the highway, it is a quiet and comfortable cruiser. It has more than adequate acceleration to make sure you never get in trouble if you need to quickly change lanes. In the city, it handles stop and go traffic just as well as other more expensive cars. The interior is basic, but there's nothing wrong with that in this pric... (more)

Driving it to my Festival across state with my buddies
Pros
Spacious Smooth Clean reliable
Cons
Base model isn't that great. Would recommend one with leather seats, sunroof and upgraded speakers. Replacing the speakers is very bothersome in this car

The Pontiac Grand Prix GT is a man's dream vehicle. While it is not the traditional GTO, it is as fun as one can get with a car that is great to drive. With a car like this, it is the best way to show your friends that you have style, and with a family, your kids will love it too. Plus, it is a beast to drive with is fast acceleration and high performance engine.
Story
Being able to manage a 900+- trip to Idaho from Southern California in less that 12 hours with this car makes the travel worth it.
Pros
I love my Pontiac because it is a durable, and affordable vehicle with great mileage and of course, it is fast. I have been able to travel on two and a half tanks from California to Idaho, and in less that 12 hours, too. With cruise control, the trips out of state are much easier and enjoyable.
Cons
The only cons that I can think about it are that the cup holders are hard to clean. I wish that, when I purchased it, I had the option for dash covers to match the black/red speedometer and such. Other than that, this car has everything. I guess the only other con I can think of is if there was an option to save a preset seat position so that when I get in all I would have to do is press a button to have the seat in my position.
