2005 Pontiac Grand Prix - Great long term vehicle.
My husband and I have owned this vehicle for 11 years. over 150,000 miles now and going strong. We have kept up on the basic maintenance, and she still preforms like a champ. The 2005 Grand Prix is a great looking car, I think it looks like the Batmobile. Spacious and roomy enough to fit 5 people comfortably, and accommodate a 6'2" driver. When my now 14 year old was 3 and he threw a tantrum in the backseat and bit the car door! it sill has tooth marks in it!
Pros
Roomy, well built, good looking, runs great, low maintenance, American made.
Cons
Plastic bumpers, not great gas mileage.

Gets absolutely amazing gas mileage I get around 30 on the highway at times and for a 2001 American car that is astounding and absolutely worthwhile. It has never been in the shop except for one time that was a quick recall as a preventative measure to prevent possible engine fires in accidents that occurred in a very few select vehicles. Has easy access to everything I needed to maintain the vehicle spark plugs oil filter pan and such all was very intuitive a... (more)
