2001 Pontiac Bonneville - Amazing vehicle.
I love this car. The ride is extremely smooth. Going over pot holes or railroad tracks it doesn't jostle you around at all. Steering is great. The car drives true, and the steering is tight. When you move the steering wheel just a little bit, that is where the car is going to go. It is a big car, so you can fit four people comfortably and maybe even a fifth person.
Story
My husband and I would drive around back country roads trying to see if we could get lost and see different areas around us.
Pros
The buttons on the steering wheel for the radio, I tend to use them a lot. The ride is amazing like riding down the road on a comfy couch. It has a huge trunk that can store a ton of groceries. Also, the middle seat will fold down so if you bought something that is long you can fit it inside the car so it's not hanging out of the trunk.
Cons
Since it is such a big car, it doesn't get the greatest gas mileage, right around 20 in town. I wish that it came with heated seats and an automatic start for when it's cold out. The head gasket goes out. Apparently it's typical for this make of an engine. A newer/nicer stereo would make it more appealing.
2001 Pontiac Bonneville - 2001 Bonneville
It's been the most trustworthy car I've ever owned. Little in the way of maintenance has ever been required outside of routine stuff. It's comfortable to drive and very responsive. Lots of trunk space too.
Story
Just taking it for a drive has been pleasant enough as it's a vehicle I trust implicitly unlike previous vehicles I'd owned.
Pros
It gets great gas mileage and the 3800 engine is built like a rock. If you take care of it, it'll run forever for you.
Cons
Like other Bonnes, there's the occasional oil leak problem and the interior door seals run the risk of becoming detached, allowing water to come in and possibly corrode grounds beneath the seats. Rear windows are prone to failure too.
