2004 Oldsmobile Alero - Good for a first car, but isn't built to last
I received this car when I was 16. It was red and definitely didn't look like an "old lady" car. Had a decent amount of space and was easy to learn how to drive. I still have this car, all these years later. In a way, it's been very dependable, but around a year or two ago it started falling apart at random. I have a feeling I'm going to need to be buying another one in a year or so.
Story
My bumper got almost completely ripped off by a guy in a parking lot, and I was at a friend's house and his brother's friend backed into the front of my car and actually pushed my bumper back into place a little more. It was kind of funny.
Pros
This car looks good when it's new. It's not hard to figure out the ins and out s of the feel of driving the car. It doesn't have overly sensitive breaks, which I hate in cars. It didn't cost that much and didn't have that many miles on it. It has a pretty decent amount of trunk space.
Cons
When I lived with my parents, my car sat in the garage, hardly ever exposed to the elements for long periods of time. When I moved away from home, however, I lived in an apartment complex where my car was parked outside all the time, and I moved there in the winter. That's what started my car falling apart left and right. I've had to replace a new battery solely from it being cold, my strut went out which was determined to be a factory defect, my electric window on the rear right side doesn't work, I've had to fix my windshield wiper system and it stopped working again, certain areas are p... 2003 Oldsmobile Alero - Best car
This is honestly the best car that I have ever purchased. Its very reliable haven't really had to many issues with it. Nothing major, just some minor things that are normal. Couldn't have asked to find a better car. Its perfect for our family.
Story
Went on vacation with the kids and had a blast
Pros
It gets us from point a to point b. It has a good stereo system in it. Its easy on gas. Very low mileage when we got the car and still is pretty low for the year of the car. Looks awesome with a custom paint job and custom body kit on the car. Its easy on the tires as well. If by chance you did break down the car is very easy to push if you would need to move it. A lot of stuff on the car is easy to repair and there are a majority of stuff that is easy to fix
Cons
Not much space especially when you are almost 7 feet tall. Not much trunk space. Some parts are really expensive for the car. Oldsmobile went out of business so now some places wont even carry the parts for the car.
There isn't much space around the engine so when you have to work on the engine its kind of hard reach for stuff because the lack of space.
2000 Oldsmobile Alero - Very great everyday vehicle
This car is a great everyday car. The quality is wonderful. I like the fact that it looks sporty with the two door design and the addition of the spoiler on the back. The only thing that I really dislike is the amount of space in the back seat. The trunk actually has a lot of space for it to be a smaller vehicle.
Story
I used this car to advertise for a jewelry launch party for my small business.
Pros
My favorite things about this vehicle are the size, overall design, price, and gas mileage. The interior resembles what you would find in a much more luxurious vehicle. With gas at the current price, $25.00 Fills up the tank. I like the fact that the car has a sunroof. Another pro is the power doors, windows, and seats. With me being on the shorter side, I appreciate that I am able to adjust the seats to drive comfortably. Also the wheel adjusts which is very helpful when it comes to seeing over the wheel.
Cons
One negative aspect of this vehicle is the lack of space in the back seat. There is not a lot of foot space for passengers who are riding in the back of the car. Also the cup holder, in my opinion, is in a very awkward position.
