My 1990 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale is one of the best vehicles I have ever owned. I purchased it ten years ago for $1,200, and I have not regretted that purchase. With only 144,00 miles, I feel as though it is barely being broken in. Considering the proper care which I have provided it, and the overall quality of the vehicle, I expect it to easily reach 300,000 miles. Over the years, I have only had minor issues with the vehicle, including replacing the brake lines. The transmission is great, and the motor is powerful.
Story
With my Delta '88, I have taken several road trips, including to Minneapolis. On two occasions, I have awoken with the urge to take one-day trips to the Twin Cities, and the Oldsmobile is always ready for such adventures. It is a very reliable vehicle, whether I am commuting to work or taking road trips.
Pros
As stated, the 1990 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale is a wonderful vehicle. It is very reliable and has presented me with minimal issues. The most major work I have performed on it is replacing the brake lines, which had become rusted. My vehicle only has 144,000 miles, and I expect it to double that number. I take very good care of it. I truly believe that the quality of Oldsmobile's and other classic vehicles cannot be matched by modern vehicles.
Cons
I suppose my biggest gripe would be the aesthetic appearance of it. Frankly, in 1990, it fit in, but now, it stands out from the crowd...not that there is anything wrong with that. Performance wise, it has been very good to me, and I intend to treat it well all the way to the automotive graveyard. Maybe then, I will purchase a modern vehicle, but I refuse to do so unless necessary.

I liked that my car felt sturdy and strong. It felt much more solid than newer vehicles that seem to use more fiberglass/plastic materials. The car had a pretty basic sedan style. It was very roomy inside, with front and back rows. The trunk was huge and I could fit so much inside. There were no blind spots that I ever noticed. It was a decent size four door car and had a broad windshield. I didn't have any major issues with the car. It was in the shop only a handful of times for regular maintenance and repair, such as breaks/break pads, filters, and fluid changes. The only major repair was the alternator, but this was covered by my warranty and did not cost me anything. Gas mileage was probably sub par. Because it was an older, heavier vehicle, the mileage was probably not as good as... (more)
Story
I named my vehicle Barbara. Apparently, others found this funny. I think she looked and behaved like a Barbara.
Pros
My favorite things about this vehicle were the size and how safe I felt in it. It was very sturdy and solid. When you slammed the door, it was clearly a heavy sturdy door, not hollow sounding like newer lighter vehicles.
Cons
The gas mileage could have been better. Some people may not like the look of an older model, that may be something to consider.

I have owned a Nissan Versa Note for a few years and have been very happy with it. Besides routine oil changes and a battery change, there has been no issues with the car. For a small car, it is extremely comfortable and can easily transport four adults without feeling like the car is too small. The paint, trim, and interior have all held up very well over the last two years. While it might not look like a brand new car, everything seems to be a slightly higher quality than I would expect with a economical car.
Story
I love taking this car to locations where I know that parking will be tight. This is a small vehicle and getting it into smaller spaces has allowed me to park fairly close to various events, rather than having to walk several blocks to reach my destination. It is so simple to park along a curb.
Pros
The huge pro is the gas mileage. I can drive about twice as long on a gallon of gas than I could with my older car. The number of and placement of windows makes it very easy to see around your vehicle when driving and make the car feel slightly larger than it actually is. There is plenty of leg room for four adults and the ride is very smooth. The seats can easily and quickly be adjusted.
Cons
I wish that the trunk had a little more storage space. There is no way a large square item will fit in the trunk as the trunk opening is a little on the small side. The drink container could be redesigned. It is difficult to fit larger or tall containers in the front cup holders, and the back holders are not really deep enough for me to trust with large containers.
