I really liked the size of it and how it handled during the summer/spring/fall months in upstate NY. The downside was that it was only a two-wheel drive, and I could get stuck in an inch on snow before I purchased studded snow tires for it. Unfortunately, now that the vehicle has 180,000 miles on it, I think it's about lived its life. I have a check engine light on that no matter what I replace I cannot get to go off. Catalytic converters and O2 sensors have all been replaced (of which there is four of each). I would definitely recommend buying this car but not if you expect it to last you forever.
Story
I have traveled all over upstate NY in this car. Including to a baseball game in Baltimore, MD.
Pros
Handles well, very little if any road noise. Handles like a car not a truck, which truck handling is common of SUVs this size.
Cons
This car develops major issues after 100,000 miles. The radiator and transmission are only separated by a gasket and right around 90,000 to 100,000 miles the gasket gives out and dumps coolant into the transmission. This is fatal to the transmission, and I had to replace both the transmission and the radiator. But...after I replaced both, the car ran for another 50,000 miles with no problem.

I like the way the car looks. I like the way the interior dash is set up and I like the brightness of the interior dash lights at night. I also like how high the vehicle sits. It handles very well in inclement weather. It is on a Frontier base so it certainly handles more like a truck than a car. It is very spacious. The seats go down but not flush so there is an awkward rise but there is still so much space to work with. I bring my dog on errands. He is 60lbs and there is plenty of room for him to turn around and move freely in the back of the vehicle. There is also a roof rack. I can store my sports equipment on the roof leaving the cargo space open. The headlights are very bright. I think it is a distraction to other drivers but I like that I can see well even when the high beams ar... (more)
Story
I climbed to the top of a waterfall with my dog two days after I purchased the vehicle. We ended up having a "picnic" in the cargo area together and we also ended up taking a nap back there after we ate. It was a great day!
Pros
I love the rails that help me step into the vehicle. They are practical yet stylish. I like that it has four wheel drive. The 4WD can be activated even traveling at speeds of 55 mph. I also really like the cargo space. I can fit just about anything in the back of the SUV.
Cons
It is on a truck platform so it rides like a truck. I like darker interior. One other aspect that may be viewed as a "pro" for some people, the driver can certainly feel a difference in the ride when traveling in excess of 70mph.Gas guzzler.
