2011 Nissan Versa - Great car at excellent price
I liked the price of the car. It was 10k and had only 35k mi. It now has 108k, and the only upkeep has been oil/tires.
Story
Driven from Ohio to Florida four times. Vehicle has been a great asset.
Pros
Price. Low cost maintenance. Spacious trunk and interior for a small economy car. Decent gas mileage.
Cons
Driver side window sticks in extreme cold or heat.
2011 Nissan Versa - A good, small crossover
We looked at this car originally because we needed something higher off the ground than a sedan for mobility of a family member. The Versa hatchback is higher off the ground, like an SUV or a minivan, but with the small car size that makes parking easier.
Story
We took this car on a road trip to Chicago and had a great time. The back fit all our luggage, and the car is reliable and comfortable.
Pros
It is extremely maneuverable and handles well. We have had no major part problems in almost five years. It gets good gas mileage (due in part to the small car size) and with the hatchback, the back seats fold down easily if you need to carry large items. This model has a CD player with an aux-in jack so you can play audio from your phone or MP3 player.
Cons
The cons have all been little things - the tire pressure sensors are grumpy. Some of the seals on the doors/windows go back quickly, and the windows can fog up easily. There seems to be less room in the back than a standard sedan has in the trunk, though obviously you can fold down one or both back seats if you don't have passengers in those seats to store extra items.

2013 Nissan Versa - Yark Nissan Toledo
The salesman I worked with, Andrew Dauer, was really great. He wasn't pushy and understood that my budget wouldn't allow for upgrades. Everyone there was very low-pressure, and they really helped me out with the paperwork, which was complicated by an out-of-state cosigner. I was able to check out several vehicles in my price range. I feel that everything was explained to me very well.
