2012 Nissan Versa - Very economical car
My Nissan Versa 2012 is a very reliable and simplistic car. Since it is CVT, maintenance is kept at minimal and very easy to park because of its small-size, hatchback version. It perfectly fits a family of five although there are three of us, a lot of room and space. Because of its appearance, it is very trendy and the consumables are cheap. Since I use synthetic oil annual protection and extra performance filter, I only do an oil change every 15,000 miles. Since my financing of this car, I never encountered any mishaps except battery change. Overall, it is a very good deal for a small family like ours.
Story
We went to Seattle, and it was very cold with icy roads. We managed to travel with no problems at all. We cruised the road steadily and enjoyable. There's no hard starting and acceleration. The battery starts up the car with one click, and the engine noise is very consistent.
Pros
The vehicle is very simple in design and very fuel efficient. Very sturdy in freeways because of its good stabilized design. Even if it's just a hatchback, there's plenty of room at the back. Since it uses CVT technology, its transmission is worry-free maintenance and also the shifting of gears maintains your steady speed in the road. Its cruising feature works very well in long drives. It is very easy to clean from inside and out because of good paint job and shiny exterior. The parts are of very good quality and no noticeable degradation in speed and efficiency.
Cons
The radio does not have MP3 capability. The tire is not that high quality but replaced it with a good one. The shock absorber is a little bit hard, so it gets hard bumps on higher bump roads. Air-conditioning unit is not that cold at start. It will take awhile to get the right cold temperature. The key spare is kind of expensive, because it has a built-in chip. It takes time to accelerate. It is not designed for fast speed and acceleration. The brake pad is squeaky in the original but replaced it with a more better ceramic version.
2016 Nissan Versa - One of my biggest regrets.
I do not like the vehicle at all. It's barely better than having nothing. The vehicle barely has any leg room inside. When you travel with your family, it feels very cramped and claustrophobic in the vehicle.
Story
I drive it to the local casino with friends and have fun gambling. I always use the valet so they have to park my vehicle for me.
Pros
It was somewhat cheap to finance in comparison to other better vehicles. So far the paint is holding up pretty good. The power windows are nice. The AC is cold enough and heat works well. The heater almost gets too hot which is good on snowy and rainy days.
Cons
Too small inside. Windshield wipers do not move fast enough when there is heavy rain and snow. Even in light and medium rain, there is an issue with seeing because the windshield wiper speed is too slow even on the "fastest" setting. It is built with an interference engine. So if the timing belt breaks, it will ruin the engine and cost a fortune. The sound of the vehicle is extremely noisy inside while travelling. So noisy that it is highly annoying.
