2008 Nissan Versa - Looks like a vacuum cleaner and that is just what it does to your wallet.
Two recalls right out of the gate: springs and airbags. The dealership caused another problem fixing the airbag and Nissan wouldn't cover it. I had to replace the engine, the entire exhaust system, the brakes year ONE, and now the steering is going out of the lemon. I'll never buy another Nissan.
Pros
It fits in a small parking space. That is all.
Cons
It's like a jack in the box of problems. Know a mechanic well or don't buy one.
2011 Nissan Versa - Good Car For The Money
The 2011 Nissan Versa is a good, little car that, although its not the flashiest or prettiest car in the world, does the job and does it well. Nissan has built a solid reputation over the years and that reputation shines through with the Versa.
Pros
Some of the great things about the car include the gas mileage. I've never had a car so fuel efficient before. I would say I average about 30-35 miles per gallon. Also with being a compact car, its never a problem parking. It also has a 6 disc CD changer that plays MP3 discs, so you can load up hundreds of songs, just like you would with an iPod. The car handles like a dream and gives me nothing but smooth, solid rides.
Cons
I can't say too much bad about the car. It is a 4 cylinder, so when it comes to hills, it can take a little while but that is just a tiny gripe. I would also recommend getting the power options, such as power windows. I did not and feel like I'm in the stone ages when I have to roll the window down. But like I said, these are tiny gripes. And as I mentioned, it may not be the flashiest car on the highway so if you're looking for something that will turn heads you'll want to look elsewhere.
