2007 Nissan Versa - Reliable and safe car for small family
I bought my car when I found out I was pregnant. I liked that it had a great safety rating and was at a great price. The amount of head space was great for moving a baby in and out of the car. It was very reliable. It was cheap on gas. After having the car for 9 years, I have only had one issue happen to the car besides normal maintenance (my converter went out). The trunk was a little small to fit the stroller into but we made it work. I would tell friends to buy this car, I love it. It is now getting old and I don't want to trade it in yet. I drove this car for extended periods of time travelling and never had it break down on me. I always felt I could count on it.
Story
This was the car I took my son home from the hopsital in. It was very special.
Pros
The gas mileage. The space. The 6 disk CD changer was great when I first bought it (before smartphones became really popular). Reliable. Cheap when it needed to be fixed. The hatchback was nice. I like the amount of windows and the not having blind spots.
Cons
Takes a bit to get up to speed on the freeway. The trunk is a little on the small side. I hate how my tire light never goes off.
2007 Nissan Versa - Would recommend Nissan Versa.
The Nissan Versa is a great sporty vehicle with a smaller exterior but plenty of room within for hauling and extra passengers. 4 doors make this car compatible for outings and the like. It performs really well, as a manual this car has 6 speeds which gives it great highway mileage when engaging in the 6th gear. I don't like so much that the back doors are not equipped with key holes, so you have to reach around from the front door in order to unlock them.
Story
I drove it up the coats of California, and didn't have to refuel but 2 times. The car made the trip great, I had no qualms.
Pros
I love that the car has 6 speeds, I have only ever driven 5 speed manual transmissions - so the extra gear is a plus, and delivers great highway mileage when in use. I am also a fan of the hatchback model as it makes it extremely easy to haul bigger items in the back when needed.
Cons
The insides body kit doesn't seem to be the most sturdy, of course it is plastic which can be less reinforced than another material - so pieces have become loose over time. I also have an issue with the backdoors not having key holes for unlocking, as this can become a hassle when in a hurry.
