Nissan Versa Owner Ratings & Reviews

2013 Nissan Versa - Driving is great for low mileage
Overall, the Nissan Versa (specifically 2013) is generally a "good" car. It is great for either a first car, or for someone who is purchasing their very first brand new car. The interior is plastic and cloth, and the plastic has already started to become loose in some sections after 3 years. The sound of the car is generally good - meaning loud music can still be heard on the outside of the car, but not all lyrics can be understood. The interior materials are of okay quality - not great, not bad, but in between. There have been no issues in the past three years with any of the electrical parts of the car, and I have only had to replace my battery once. I have put roughly around 45,000 miles on this car in three years. The trunk is an amazing size, and fits a lot of things. The outside ... (more)
Story
I drove myself and two friends 4 hours away (4 hours each way, 8 hours total) to see our favorite band! It was great. The front seat was very cramped but we all made it work.
Pros
Pros of the vehicle are the amazing trunk space and great distances it can go without filling up that often.
Cons
The exterior collects dings and dents very easily, and there is no middle console at all. The car is extremely light, and it doesn't do too well during very heavy rainstorms or if it's really windy outside. Would not be good in states where this type of weather is common (i.e. Florida). It's also not that good in my opinion for people with more than one kid or large families.
2015 Nissan Versa - Not good quality
I like the look of the small car. It's a sedan and not a hatchback, so it makes me feel like I'm in a full-size car. I can fit my passengers comfortably for short distance trips. The engine makes a lot of noise and is a nuisance. You would have to turn the radio or music up loud to drown the engine out. Once the car is warmed up, it can be somewhat of a smooth ride. The windows are not tinted enough, which makes it hotter in the car during the summer. I don't like that when I turn the radio off, it automatically comes back on when I re-enter the car and turn the engine one. I don't like that is has a slow take off when trying to maneuver in and out of lanes. I don't like that when you are stopped at a stoplight or a stop sign the brakes vibrate, as I was told by the dealership, it's be... (more)
Story
Driving my grandkids to McDonald's, getting ice cream, and making them eat it outside the car. I do no allow anyone to eat in my car.
Pros
It's good on gas, and the digital gauge displays how much usage per mile is left in the car. The trunk space is large enough to fit three large suitcases and my overnight bag with no problem. I like that I can connect my Bluetooth phone and play my own music. It has the capability for me to be hands free when I'm talking on the phone. I like the ability to use my key fob to open the trunk when I'm in my garage. I like that it has power windows and door locks.
Cons
Noisy engine, squeaky body, brakes vibrate, tinted windows are not dark enough, and slow take off.
